I'm shocked by this place. I wanted to spread the joy of their baking to my family in NYC for the holidays and ordered a sweet potato cake to be shipped there. For some unfathomable reason it was sent unrefrigerated, without any dry ice or ice packs, and arrived in several days to NY spoiled. What a complete waste of money, and despite several emails and calls, the bakery never reached out to me to apologize. Will be canceling the charge on my credit card, and likely won't even go back there in person. Quite disappointing and embarrassing.

Sweet potato cheesecake
We found this bakery at the Sweet Auburn Curb Market and decided to stop by after lunch. Most of the cookies had gone by the time we returned, but luckily for us there was plenty of cheesecake left. We ordered the sweet potato cheesecake on the recommendation of the server and it was just terrific. It had an almost home baked feel, the flavours were balanced and it was not too sweet!

Painfully disappointing cupcakes combine rock-hard icing with dry-as-a-bone cake. Between the red velvet and carrot cake, it was hard to tell which was worse but it's one of the rare times in my life I wish I'd not had a cupcake at all. I've had better cupcakes from a mix.

It was really a debate on whether to give the bakery 3 stars or 4 stars. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The chocolate chip cookies were good. The red velvet cupcakes were very disappointing. The cupcake tasted a bit worse than a mix. The frosting on the cupcake was inedible.

The desserts are great! My favorite is and will always be the lemon chess pie even though I know the owner is famous for her sweet potato cheesecake. I also that they are no longer in the sweet auburn market. But actually on Auburn Ave.
