We had breakfast here twice and both times were lovely! The ambience is so nice, the food was great, the portions were huge and we had amazing service from Fred! Would not hesitate for a moment to come back.
Thank you for some wonderful starts to the day!

Beautiful restaurant in the perfect location for work lunches/happy hours/etc. I ordered the Spicy Chicken Sandwich with a side Caesar salad. The sandwich was very good, the perfect amount of spice and the salad was what you’d expect from a Caesar. My only qualm with the sandwich was the texture. The whole sandwich was a bit soggy which made the chicken less crispy. Overall, I enjoyed my lunch and would definitely visit again!

My friend and I made a reservation on a Tuesday night as I love the building and history behind it and was really excited to go there. We walked in to the bar area as we didn’t see the host stand that is not at the entrance. It’s around the corner and if there was signage pointing us to it we did not see it. There were 2 people sitting at the bar and every table was empty. The bartender did not bother to acknowledge us at all so we walked around until we saw the host stand. Our server sat us at a small 2 person table. There was a larger table and I asked if we could sit there so we could have more room as again, there was literally no one else in the restaurant. Our server got visibly upset and told us that table was for larger parties, which I completely understand but again… no one else was there. So we sat at the small table and ordered our dinner. I ordered the truffle mac and cheese, thinking, how can that not be delicious? Well the truffle was only in the breadcrumbs on top and the mac and cheese had no flavor at all. It was in a very thin, soupy sauce. Really unfortunate as the building itself is absolutely gorgeous and the history behind it is amazing. And just one other single diner came in while we were there to eat. Another server just dropped off our check without even asking if we wanted another drink or dessert or anything… I wanted it to be a better experience but unfortunately it was not.

The food was acceptable, nothing terribly good or bad about it. I do wish there were more options on the menu however. We checked out of the hotel and decided to grab lunch before heading out. We had a cat with us and were told by the staff that we can sit at the high tops which will allow us to have lunch and have the cat in the open but still on a leash. We did as requested and 5 minutes later this gentleman comes up telling us completely opposite information stating cat can't be out period and has to stay in the kennel. I told him that we understand but that's why we had asked beforehand and the staff told us it was okay. Apparently this person was the manager, and must have repeated the fact that he's a manager at least five times. I told him that I understand he's the manager, in. All we are saying is that clearly there was a miscommunication because the staff said one thing and then he said another. His reply yet again was that he's the manager with unnecessary attitude accompanied by his consistent condescending tone. Then he stands by the table watching us put the cat in the kennel and once the cat is in, he goes well. You guys can sit where the couches are and the waiti staff can just serve you there. He literally watched us put the cat in the kennel for 2 minutes and immediately afterwards said oh you can take the cat out over here. Something he could have easily told us from the start there by avoiding the entire needless confrontation. I didn't even want to stay there and have lunch after that. But my gf on the verge of being hangry so decided to stay so she can have lunch. I don't have anything against Atwood restaurant, but unfortunately I will not be visiting it again because no one deserves to be spoken to in a condescending rude tone when nothing actually happened, that would provoke it. The bartender was very chill and accommodating so kudos to him. What Mr. Manager did a very good job at alienating potential customers as there were people on other tables listening to this entire conversation that he was intent on prolonging. Not a good look for a restaurant

Stopped by the try the restaurant week fixed price menu (3 course) as it was open late hours on a rainy evening. The food was rather good, just the portions were enormous. For a 3 course menu, I personally think they could be a bit smaller but maybe you get a little extra choice or glass of wine. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is very pleasant. Would return again, but much hungrier.

We were happy with the food all around - lives up to what you'd hope for the price (especially considering plenty of places downtown are expensive and still don't have great food).

However, our server told us about their specials, but some of them you can only order from the tables on the east side of the restaurant, and some of them you can only order from the bar or tables on the west side of the restaurant. We tried to order the specials at the bar then like our server suggested, but the bartender said he wouldn't allow it because "I see you're sitting over there. I know what you're trying to do." So be aware the drink and food menus change depending on where you sit, even though our server had no idea.

We enjoyed the meal, but decided it was too strange and expensive to likely return unfortunately.

Food was absolutely delicious with good seasoning and flavors. The Host Alberto was neutral, nothing enthusiastic about him. Our server Brandon was ok. The guy who brung out the food was welcoming however. The environment was nice and it was cool people watching from the beautiful tall windows. Great selection of music playing.
