El Jimador

Went to El Jimador for mothers day. They are ALWAYS my go to resturant. The staff last night were amazing just like every time we go. I got fried seafood enchiladas and cocoa Loco. Best mixed drinks including margaritas I have ever had. And everywhere I travel I always get a margarita. Can't say enough about this family owned resturant, the staff, the food, the drinks... perfect as usual. Family had a blast taking pictures at the front. They have a palm tree, cut outs, metal statues and more. Super fun resturant!

First time and it was SO good!

We each had a beer, and a meal. It was $40.
So reasonable .

Food was not great. They put my crispy taco right on top of the rice ensuring the whole thing was soggy and limp moments after making it to the table. The rice was definitely overcooked. My wife's old fashioned cocktail was 90% ice and tasted like watered-down Coca-Cola. They also screwed up my order and gave me a enchilada with my combo plate instead of the toastada I ordered. And finally, the "hot sauce" at every table (Apparently a local concoction) was probably the worst thing I have ever had in the "hot sauce" category. It's basically tropical fruit juice mixed with maple syrup and ghost pepper. I don't plan to come back. Oh, and service was slow and inconsistent to boot.

Food is consistent with New England Mexican. Full plates, decent taste, fair price.

Service is hit or miss, depending on who ends up taking care of you- we've had to wait quite a while for drinks or food on occasion(Lucio is the best!).

Atmosphere is great, one side of the restaurant for intimate conversation and another for bar/lounge vibe.

Our first time here blew us out of the water. The service was incredible. Huge menu and plenty of options for both food and drinks. Prices were great and couldn't not find one thing to complain about. We got the appetizer sampler along with 2 grilled chicken salads. Can't wait to go back and try other options they have. Chicken wings were some of the best we have ever had and the other sampler options were amazing. Highly reccoment if your in the area.

Travellers, this is a wonderful Mexican restaurant that has a lively, cheery atmosphere and great service with a smile. And the food was great too. The menu has a nice selection of options from which to choose. Everything was delicious but the mole sauce is special and well done. There is a nice drink menu too. This is a nice place for a large gathering or a party and there is plenty of room to accommodate large groups too. It doesn’t seem to be a problem at all. Check it out. We recommend.
