Aux Merveilleux de Fred

I didn’t like the merveilleux, but I have never had one before so I can’t fault the establishment for that! It just wasn’t for me. The “pudding” that I got was like a bland, stiff flan. Again, maybe just not to my taste… the pain au ganache was quite good though! I think it’s probably best to get their pastries here or if you know what a merveilleux is, this seems to be their specialty.

Sweets are amazing, and sandwiches are just as good. Their pasteries are worth a detour! The staff always goes above and beyond to answer questions and prepare what I need. Service is quick (outside of rush hours, I need to say) and friendly.

Undeniably one of the highest quality fresh croissants and pastries shops around.

I stumbled upon this place when heading to get more film for my camera around the corner at studio argentique. I'm so glad I stopped and decided to grab something. What caught my eye was the bakers making fresh pastries from the large window you can see in from outside.

Service was quick and respectful, willing to help you decide on which ever pastries your taste buds land on! With a wide variety I can easily see myself coming back especially at this quality.

I've been eating almond croissants for YEARS in Montreal, and the first bite was incomparable. The crunch, buttery and flakey exterior met with the indulgent unique filling... immediately I was smiling.

If you're in the area and have sometime to grab a pastry or two, I definitely recommend this place.

I mean come on ! Class ! Taste ! Price ! This place has it all, one of the cleanest most authentic bakeries you can have in Montreal with the absolute best top of the mark decorations !! I mean look at that chandelier ! It’s insane !
I give 4 stars not 5 for two reasons : not enough seating places, why have this awesome decor if we can’t sit and enjoy it.
Reason 2 : The chocolatine was stale and somewhat unoriginal to be honest but maybe that’s because it was noon so these weren’t the freshest

Distinctive desserts I’ve never tried in other places. Should I call it a bread or a whipped cream?😂 Love the decoration inside the shop as well. It is an amazing dessert perfect with a cup of coffee:)

It attracts me because of the luxurious decorations. The presentation of the bakery in the showcase is dedicated. The bakery is above the bar. The most important thing is that you can rest and charge your phone here lol
