I didn’t like the merveilleux, but I have never had one before so I can’t fault the establishment for that! It just wasn’t for me. The “pudding” that I got was like a bland, stiff flan. Again, maybe just not to my taste… the pain au ganache was quite good though! I think it’s probably best to get their pastries here or if you know what a merveilleux is, this seems to be their specialty.
Perfect place if you want to get your Portuguese goods the food here is amazing aswell as the service the atmosphere is amazing everything on point each time I get here I always choose the bread
Nice little Portuguese bakery. Natas are pretty good. The bread is fresh and is the best for sandwiches. Do yourself a favour and use them for your burgers or hotdogs (they have various shapes and sizes). Prices are really fair and they give you a Bakers Dozen. Sandwich special is indeed special and affordable. Staff is always really friendly. I love and recommend this place highly!
Sweets are amazing, and sandwiches are just as good. Their pasteries are worth a detour! The staff always goes above and beyond to answer questions and prepare what I need. Service is quick (outside of rush hours, I need to say) and friendly.
They have to upgrade their packaging, for the price charged we expect a better quality of packaging , plus the staff are not really welcoming , won’t do again
Very welcoming service and a wonderful choice of Portuguese products,just wish they could open one in the south shore! Don’t forget great food!

Staff is very friendly and helpful, take the time to answer questions. I love the sweet friend I must have it very morning with my coffee, it so light and satisfying. The cod pie is to die for. They even ask is you want things heated up, imagine. Great service. Thank you staff.

Started going there after the pandemic. Consistently good experience, have never had any issues. Great choice, always tasty, always fresh. Helpful staff. Great coffee. We sometimes dine in, sometimes take out, both work fine.

Undeniably one of the highest quality fresh croissants and pastries shops around.
I stumbled upon this place when heading to get more film for my camera around the corner at studio argentique. I'm so glad I stopped and decided to grab something. What caught my eye was the bakers making fresh pastries from the large window you can see in from outside.
Service was quick and respectful, willing to help you decide on which ever pastries your taste buds land on! With a wide variety I can easily see myself coming back especially at this quality.

Very good/tasty coffee in Montreal’s downtown area. I really liked their cappuccinos & cortados. We paired them with their lemon pies and cannolis options.
It seems like some employees are adding tips to your total without asking, and it's kinda hard to notice because prices are not displayed. It kinda ruins the experience.
A wonderful bakery, with lots of options both sweet & savory! The employees are also very kind. Do yourself a favor and try their massa sovada sweet bread - it's absolutely divine, and if you leave it for a few days it makes the world's tastiest french toast.
Good croissants but not so good coffee. Very few people seem to know what a cortado is but most think they do. Overall it was ok. I would go again but not my first choice.

I mean come on ! Class ! Taste ! Price ! This place has it all, one of the cleanest most authentic bakeries you can have in Montreal with the absolute best top of the mark decorations !! I mean look at that chandelier ! It’s insane !
I give 4 stars not 5 for two reasons : not enough seating places, why have this awesome decor if we can’t sit and enjoy it.
Reason 2 : The chocolatine was stale and somewhat unoriginal to be honest but maybe that’s because it was noon so these weren’t the freshest

Delectable & heavenly pastries. My personal fav was their almond croissant and carrot cake. I would highly recommend it!!
The Almond Croissant was just perfect. Whether you’re looking for a quiet place to work or catch up with friends, this cafe caters to all. Your taste buds and your soul will thank you.
Average tasting pastries, more soggy than flaky. And only one person working /serving at the counter so be prepared for a very long wait.
My new favorite in MTL, pastries are delicious, cute decor, very friendly staff. A great place to have a cup of cafe , and enjoy a sweet moment of life.
When my daughter suddenly announced she wanted a vintage cake for her birthday, San Marco saved the day. They were on top of this trend (I had no idea what a vintage cake was) and they took my order with only a few days notice. The cake was stunning and delicious too!
Went on a Saturday morning tried the pistacchio, nutella, custard, and dulce de Leche bombolone. They were all very good and fresh. Price point was right as well. Definitely recommend. Would be nice to see the place spruced up a bit it did look closed from the outside that would be my only complaint/suggestion.
I wanted to have a good pastry or croissant before going back home to U.S, My husband picked this place and thought we will probably will not be able to find parking so we risking it anyway.

We got 2 croissants (chocolate and cheese) and their croissants is huge compare our croissants in U.S 😅 and we’re loving it.

Aux Merveilleux de Fred is a fantastic place for coffee, fresh bread, and sweets. The treats are incredibly delicious, making it a must-visit spot for anyone who loves good food. Don't miss out! 😋

I like it but I have not been here for long time today I passed by I think it’s closed permanently because I saw the store was in renovation and full of dust. Sadly
Decent bakery in Old Montreal. I went on a Friday morning before 9am and there was a short line, but the wait was long as there was only one person working. However, server was very kind.
The almond croissant was ok - there was not enough almond flavour in my opinion. However, my friend really liked it. The matcha latte did not have enough matcha flavour and just tasted like milk.
I don't like that prices of the pastries are not listed. Two almond croissants and a matcha latte and was $18... but I have no idea what the cost per item is. There is one big table to sit at, but it seems like more of a grab and go bakery.

Distinctive desserts I’ve never tried in other places. Should I call it a bread or a whipped cream?😂 Love the decoration inside the shop as well. It is an amazing dessert perfect with a cup of coffee:)
They have prepared food that is very yummy, their cod croquettes are good. I also like their round bread (don't rememberwhat is called, but it is awesome for French toast/pain doré), I've been a couple of times and they're very busy, but they take care of every customer.
We popped in to see the baked goods. The staff is fabulous. The way service should be. She explained everything they had and was very patient. We stayed for lunch qnd finished it off with lattes and cheese cake. What a great find!!!!
There's no question. This chocolate is incredible. We figured, since it's Easter, we would splurge on egg and chick shaped treats and we were very happy we did. One of the best raspberry mousse cakes we've ever had. The chocolate is so rich and creamy were not sure we'll be able to enjoy this anywhere else from now on.
Rossetti is a spacious, modern decorated, and nice café located in a strategic place in down town.

I recently visited this vibrant Italian café bakery and was impressed by the atmosphere and delicious food. The café was bustling with energy and the staff were friendly and attentive. The baked goods on display looked and smelled delicious, and I ended up trying a few different items. The bakery also offered a variety of sandwiches, croissants and sweets, all look fresh. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a lively and delicious Italian experience in heart of downtown Montreal.

Croissants were excellent, airy and buttery. Palmier was crunchy and sugary. The pastries here were excellent, especially the croissants. Highly recommended.
Most delicious cannolis I’ve ever eaten! They also have lovely cakes, croissants, pasteries, petits four, zeppole, chocolatine and pizzas that look incredible
It attracts me because of the luxurious decorations. The presentation of the bakery in the showcase is dedicated. The bakery is above the bar. The most important thing is that you can rest and charge your phone here lol
Cette pâtisserie, boulangerie située à Beaubien est juste magnifique. On trouve un peu de tout, petites pâtisseries, pain et viennoiseries aussi leur coin de glaces.

Wonderful patisserie located in a trendy houseplant & home decor shop. 4 tables available in this very pretty space, but be aware that the chairs are not very comfortable. The chocolate

The almond croissant had a dusting of powdered sugar, was cut in half, & the inside was slathered in a deliciously sweet almond paste. The young person working the counter was very friendly & helpful. I also had a very good, strong, large Cappuccino with an extra shot of espresso (3 shots total) that was perhaps my favorite of my trip.

Delicious cheese croissant and almond croissant. Coffee is very good as well and the atmosphere is very cozy. Staff is super friendly . Will definitely come back when in town
First time trying this place. My mom went to pick up a surprise bag ordered on Too Good to Go app and she bought a bunch of other stuff at regular price including 6 pastries. The pastries were stale and some were even moldy. The lemon tart was soggy stale and inedible, my mom had to spit it out. The chocolate mousse was hard and had a strange texture. I went to take a bite of the strawberry cup and pulled up mold. When taking pictures I then saw the cheesecake was growing mold on the strawberry. After finding mold we didn't bother trying the other desserts. 🤢

Overall, we were satisfied and will definitely come back to try more of their little goodies! I definitely recommend it!

J’ai commandé un framboisier pour un anniversaire, en - de 24h il était prêt. Le gâteau était tellement bon ! Tous les invités on adoré et nous aussi, alors merci beaucoup 😊

This croissant is very tasty. Crispy on the outside and soft centre. I wish there was more almond flavour on the inside though, it tasted a bit weak. Overall very lovely.
One of the best bakery in Montreal for taste and price! Their portions are generous and the price is just right. I stop here often when I need a fix of a good bread some desserts or pastries to bring to the office or share with my family and friends. Always served with a smile and the smell when you walk in warms your heart. You will be a happy camper walking in here and grab yourself any of their sweet or salty masterpieces
J’ai lu les autres commentaires et je ne les comprend pas... l’accueil était correct, c’est vrai, mais la qualité n’est PAS DU TOUT au rdv!! Acheté une part de flanc + un cake au bleuet + un mille-feuilles. Les 3 étaient très décevants!! D’apparence c’est beau, mais ça n’a aucun goût...
N’essayez pas de poser des questions, ils ne connaissent de toute évidence pas les produits qu’ils vendent. J’avais demandé recommandation à la vendeuse, elle m’avait assuré que le mille-feuilles était vraiment bon.
Si vous aimez les produits de qualité, évitez cette place!!

An amazing place to get desserts, the service is patient and friendly. Taking their time to slowly explain to you every cake they and chocolate they have with a smile. The taste of them are also amazing. Deep in a flavours and not overwhelming. Although the inside of the building looks a bit old, it's still has a nice atmosphere with little music in the background. Definitely a great place to enjoy a nice dessert with some friends.
Great croissant, probably in my top 3: flaky, buttery, great quality chocolate. The prices are on the higher end of the bakery range.
3 years later: Had the chocolate almond croissant. Not only was the chocolate top notch, but I also did not expect it to ooze almond cream. And also not too sweet that can overpower the amandine. Exquisite.

Personnel accueillant mais très cher payé pour la qualité qui n’est pas au rendez vous. C’était 8$ pour ce tout petit sandwich.

The Zeppole are definitely the best in the city. I'd vouch that their cannoli can't be beat as well!
They have an amazing, talented staff that make the most delicious and stunning cakes and yummy pastries. Very highly recommended
