Delawana Resort

On this occasion I described the review with my family and I made a few edits (and raised my overall score). I took my kids 15 years ago. Was great for families. Few kids now. It was a short term resort rental back then - now it is a seasonal rental. This time I stayed as a guest in one of the designated guest cabins. Very clean. Got the hottest hot water I have ever had anywhere. Quite a few unused buildings on the property. Grounds well kept. Pool is impeccable. Great restaurant (Fin City) with entertainment. Really cool general store and Marina nearby. There's a big blue air slide on the water and there's two tennis courts, one converted to pickle ball. Didn't see a single staff over the weekend. This is not a complaint - I didn't actually need to contact them. Check in was automated with a door PIN. I did have a couple of difficulties at the automated parking control - you have to get your vehicle VERY close to the bar or it won't let you in/out. Overall enjoyable.

We had a wonderful time. The style and decorating in cabin was great we wanted to feel like we were camping not glamping as my kids call it .
Staff was friendly and helped out . One time I asked a question the young lady called and found out for me rather than tell me to go to reception . Which I think was” great “.
I am really impressed with the cleanliness of the grounds . Impressed with the staff that was visible helping to keep it clean .
We did use some amenities which were great . My kids loved the water slide . I do wish some were available later than 5. I do understand it was due to the pandemic . It would of been nice to take a bike ride after dinner with the kids when it wasn’t so hot . This was our first ever trip and I want to say “ thank you” it was amazing and hopefully you have weekly rentals next yr, for we will definitely be back.

We had a really good time at the "Del". Stayed at Blueberry Cottage for 5 days (but actually had to pay for 7 due to sanitizing concerns re: covid19). So worked out to about 300 bucks a night all in which is a bit steep. However, BC is actually lovely with a great view of the harbour. The cottage has been updated and everything was new and clean when we arrived. There was a new sink and a full sized fridge and kitchen that we weren't expecting. All staff were very nice and kind. Actually, the staff and fellow guests were the best part of the trip. We felt this resort is trying really hard to get back to its former glory. I wish them well and I would encourage another couple to book Blueberry Cottage. The location can't be beat. Also the free rentals are a big plus as well as the proximity to Honey Harbour Village which is pretty convenient and sweet.

It was as clean as possible for its age and decor. (Ashes rooms)
Night by night prices are expensive for its type of quality decor. Weekly rates are great value though!
Aviva and Jolessa were two we mostly interacted with. They were excellent in every way. Everyone else we briefly encountered were great too!
We seen grounds crews constantly working at every part of the resort during our stay but never were intrusive and always had a friendly greeting for you.
All amenities (excluding motor boats) were included in price of stay which is unheard of. And we took advantage of all we could!
Great Marina/dock area!
The on-site Flynn’s restaurant is a must visit!

Absolutely amazing experience ! I booked 4 rooms here for a large group of friends after being told about the resort by a family member who went years ago. I was not disappointed ! The staff were very friendly and super helpful, their first priority is to make sure that you have the best vacation possible. The rooms were very spacious and had everything needed. The grounds are beautiful and the beach areas are all well kept and clean. Loved the kayak and paddle board rentals. Especially loved that all rentals were included and fire wood was provided. Anything you could dream of they had it ! We went with a group of 15 people and all of us left with smiles on our faces and plans to return again very soon !

We stayed for one week in the beaches rooms. Clean but dated still. However, we quickly forgot about the dated interior as we enjoyed our time. So much to do for our 7 yr old. The whole family enjoyed the beach, free kayak, canoe, frisbee golf course and fishing less than 200 m from our door. My husband caught a 18 inch pike and the rest caught bass. There is do much to do I haven't mentioned it all. Great for small kids. Our son made a bunch of little friends. We will return.

Lots of activities to do at the resort. Friendly staff, the rooms were basic but had everything you needed. It's nice the kayaks/canoes/bikes are included with your stay, that's one of the reasons why we went back this year. The only thing we didn't like this year was that the bikes/kayaks weren't available until 10:00 am until 7:00pm. We prefer to get out early in the morning before the boat traffic picks up. Other than that, it was a great stay.
