YMCA Camp Kitchikewana

Very cool camp, nice swimming and activity area. Has a very traditional camp vibe.

This place is like my sanctuary. I went for the first time in 2022 with my friend who told me to come with her, and I am so thankful she told me to come with her. As an east Asian kid going to a camp with mostly all white people I was a little worried, but everyone was so welcoming and kind! When you get on the boat to camp it feels like you are dumping out all your stress, worries, burdens, etc. into the lake. I have never once felt homesick at camp, or missed my family at all. If you are thinking about going to camp kitchi this year, trust me, Go.

Nothing else like it. National park, ymca, long camp history. Same as it was decades ago.

went here every summer as a kid. there’s so much to do (swimming, sailing, kayaking/canoeing, etc) and kids learn an incredible amount from the experience. the staff are incredibly helpful and kind, core values are always stressed, and you’ll be sure to make lifelong friends coming here. I 100% recommend this to anyone thinking of sending their child to this camp!!

Went three years in a row!! Was awesome. I attended back in about 1987 and still think back to it all the time, I even bought a cottage on georgian Bay about a 10min boat ride from the camp!! Great life-long memories.
