Food was okay. I have had much better dumplings elsewhere. Service and ambiance could use some improvement.

Passing by Trafalgar Square, I was looking for a nice place to dine. Not one of the big chains that I could find in every corner. More like a hidden gem.
And this is exactly what this little restaurant is.
Being on my own I couldn't really try much. But based on other people's reviews, I decided to try the pork dumplings and the sweet and sour chicken. Both were absolutely delicious. Definitely the best dumplings I've ever tried!
The portions are really big, so the biggest part of the sweet and sour chicken came with me and became a lovely lunch the next day.
I highly recommend this place and I will try to come back whenever my way brings me to the area again.
For peak hours I would recommend to book ahead, just to make sure you will find a place to sit. But in any case the service is very fast, considering how busy this place is.
Well done to everyone working here, they all do an amazing job!!

Best Chinese dumplings in town with a side of very decent noodles. Low priced, easy location. Don’t expect much for the atmosphere but think about the food if you’re planning to visit Xi Home. I couldn’t wait to take any pictures. Noodles were awesome, dumplings the best and good stir fried chicken. They also serve bubble tea from next door.

Didn’t take the pics of the dumplings but sooo nice lol.
I’ve ordered takeaway at the New Year’s Eve, and was quite impressed by the delicious dumplings😋
😊猪肉茴香, Pork and Fennel? I order this every time as it reminds me of my grandma who is from the north of china.
🙁But the seats are very cramped and the food is not served quickly.
Would like to visit again.

The dumplings are what's special here, delicious and just like how grandma makes back home so if you come here you must try the dumplings. You pretty much can't go wrong whatever variety of dumplings you choose, they are all handmade here and are nice. If you ask for my opinion, I'd say the prawn ones are better than the pork ones, and skip their 'specials' such as the lobster, or abalone or cuttlefish dumplings, they are overpriced and nothing special despite their name.

The noodles are nice too, I recommend the dandan noodles and the pork rib noodles.

Their drinks are expensive, especially the hot tea, better stick to the tap water.

The best dumplings I've ever had. One of the top 3 meals I've ever had.
I came to Xi Home not expecting a lot. Just felt like chinese dumplings and the ratings were good. The restaurant is small with two tiers and is even by London standards quite small. We started with a lychee beer as it seemed very unusual. It was superb. The menu is straight forward, comprising half of dumplings and half other authentic Chinese dishes.
We ordered the spicy pork and pork and Chinese leaf dumplings along with the pork stuffed pancakes and spinach salad. The dumplings were just incredible. Easily the best either of us have ever tried. So much flavour, generously filled and perfectly seasoned. Just perfect. The pancakes and salad were also delicious. It was a simple meal but could not have been any better. An absolute gem of a find. I cannot rate it highly enough.

This Chinese restaurant in London provides a mixed dining experience. The food is undeniably delicious, featuring authentic flavors and quality ingredients. However, the service leaves much to be desired. While our meal was enjoyable, the overall experience was hampered by inattentive service.

Despite the service shortcomings, the restaurant remains a choice for those seeking Chinese cuisine in London. With a bit of attention to service improvement, it has the potential to provide an even more enjoyable dining experience for its patrons.
