Passed by and was attracted by a 15% discount, decided to try as menu featured fuss free Japanese favourites. Ambience was really nice as well. Service was really good.

The food standard however, was really mediocore. Its not bad, but perhaps because of the upscale decor I was expecting more.

We ordered the curry tonkatsu, chirashi don and mentaiko tamogo.
Pork tonkatsu was pretty good - fried well , good valance of bread vs meat. The curry itself though was quite disappointing. Bland, flat, no additional veggies. Monster curry probably has a better option to satisfy your cravings.
Chirashi don - nothing to shout about. They give 2 Slices per variety but each of the slice is quite thin. I feel you get a much better value from the sushibar for sure.

All in, felt like a super casual food joint that's dressed up to look upscale. If you're looking to chill, the ambience is for your. If you're looking for food though, you're probably better off other options near by.

Saw this restaurant online and decided to give it a try, we ordered the chirashi bowls, it was fresh and great portion, food came fast as well. The tamago was super delicious, really liked the mentaiko sauce that it came with. The staff were super friendly and gave me a cake as i was celebrating my birthday! Definitely show them some support and try their food, the location is so convenient as well as comfortable.

Really pleasantly surprised with this more causal Japanese eatery. Came with little expectations and it wasn’t crowded. Tried their ramen with katsu. It was very nice with the yuzu taste. Katsu was very nice. Out of the three katsu dishes one tasted porky. The rest were good. Curry was tasty. But spicy. The wasabi is fresh. Don’t think it’s the paste sort. Or I couldn’t tell. Salmon Don was so so. The wagyu Don was not too bad. I recommend the ramen, curry and sando katsu.

Just wanted to grab a quick dinner and decided to give this place a try. We chose a seafood salad and ponzu sauce which came in a big bottle and unknowingly we poured sufficient amount thinking it is light but with the whitebait, the sauce was overpowering and immensely salty. Staff did not caution us as well. The nanban chicken sandwich was difficult to hold and eat as seen in the photo. The size is not ideal neither to cut with cutlery or holding up in your hands.

Still worth to give a try as their menu has a variety of snacks.

Postmeal update: Restaurant kindly waived off the cost of the parfait in the bill. Kind gesture.

Disappointing food in a place with awesome vibe and attentive service. Sgd17 for sliced pork salad, it's just goma sauce on some salad greens, a few slices of pork about 40g, a few pieces of capsicum, half a hanjuku egg, some corn. Quite disappointing, expected more ingredients for the price. Sgd26 for wagyu don, beef was alright but goma sauce was drizzled, which isn't usual. Side veg was lettuce, which some places give free flow of. Sgd11 for decent glass of shiraz. Sgd14 for parfait, which was the weirdest parfait we've had. It's just 4 slices of strawberry, 1 (yes just ONE) blueberry, 2 sticks of chocolate pocky, lots of cream, 1 small scoop vanilla ice cream, some mini marshmallows, strawberry jam, countable flakes of cornflakes, and BREAD, just plain bread, cubed and dumped into the middle of the glass above more cream. I think even my children can make a better parfait. I provided feedback to one of the staff, he at first defended the parfait saying that there are fruits. I had to point out to him the ridiculousness of having plain bread in the middle of a parfait. He then said he will feedback to kitchen. I really hope he does. Plus one star for complimentary water served and the comfy sofa seats. In conclusion, come for the ambience, not the food.

Brought a large family of 9, including 3 seniors and 1 baby to Kissanji for dinner. Ambience was pleasant and the service was excellent. Kudos to Andrew (front of house manager) and Siying (service staff) for your patience and understanding to the various requests made by my large group. Decent dishes of good quality that did not break the bank. Everyone (especially the seniors) was happy and satisfied.

I had a fantastic experience at Kissajin Japanese restaurant in Shaw Centre. The service was excellent, and the staff were attentive and friendly. Special shout out to Poh Poh and Linda for their genuine friendly service. The highlight was the delicious food – the Chirashi don, Bara Chirashi don, tako wasabi, and Hokkaido cream topped with mixed berries parfait were all exceptional. The freshness and flavors truly stood out. Highly recommend for a delightful dining experience!
