You need to pay for parking unless you have Empire Pass. I completely the Hoffa and Aspen loop trail in an hour and 11 minutes. The AllTrails app was needed for navigation since the loop contained some mud, sand, and unmarked trails. However, it was overall a moderate trail to follow. Highly recommend!

This is a great trail for running and biking; around Farmingdale it could use some repaving, but otherwise it serves its purpose. Lately, a few suspicious people have been wandering in the woods aimlessly around the Plainview-Bethpage area, seemingly loitering (not recreating) so I have been staying on the road-path mostly and since there’s usually a good number of people it seems safer and I don’t use earbuds. Be careful out there! (The path stops at the Massapequa Preserve but you can easily connect to Jones Beach from Merrick Road, which adds a significant distance for endurance athletes.)

Great park with tons of trails for all skill levels. We love bringing out dog after work and on weekends!

For years I have walked in front of this park. Until I was able to talk to its workers that it is national, it is good to know.

Bethpage is a beautiful State Park on Long Island. It had a playground, a good facility, picnic area, and hiking trails. It is particularly beautiful in the Fall when the leaves are changing. It's a great respite from the fast pace of the island.

Beautiful, serene, well kept park. We love to bring our little ones to the playgrounds, which are pretty awesome - makes me wish I was there size so I could get in on the action. There are also biking/hiking trails, a baseball field, a large lawn, picnic area with barbecues - and more. Of course, the other way, you have the golf course with the world renown Bethpage Black Course.

Kids had great fun at the park playground. Playing at those inflatable bouncers are free and there are staff monitoring the kids which were really awesome! I can see there are also other outdoor courts for basketball volleyball etc. but we didn’t get a chance to try. Parking is easy and numerous picnic or bbq places. It’s our first time there but apparently it’s very popular- lots of people are having get-together there when we arrived.
