Central Pizzeria

Always forget my drinks. Every time is the same story about it's not on the order yet I asked for a total and to repeat my order. The pizza is mid anyway. Only call them because Mia doesn't deliver smh. I wouldn't even post this but this is the same response from last time. Food4Thought

Atmosphere is great but the slices need more sauce. Also there’s no flop, but the slice is too soft if that makes any sense. Not the best slice I’ve had, but definitely not the worst. Mediocre at best.

Another amazing meal at Central Pizzeria. Great for small groups or just dinner for two.
Out third visit and our go to for Italian in Somerville.

Central Pizza bar sits in the back of the restaurant.
Central bar has great food and staff. Half price weekday specials are the only reason we go there.
The bad thing about it is that the owner is very cheap and refuses to put any money into this establishment. Half of the bar stools are broken and unusable. The men's room is disgusting with tiles falling off the wall. It wouldn't take much to update this place, too bad. I don't think the owner wants to put a penny into it. It’s a shame.
I have personally donated several beer pint glasses to the bar because they didn't have enough 😡

We went an hour and a half before the lights parade and even made a reservation to be sure we got in and out in time. We were seated in the table service section. The waitress gave us a kids menu and disappeared. I went up to the bar to order. A kids grilled cheese, a kids hot dog meal and a large meatball pizza. We then waited for an hour!! I asked and the pizza came out first! Then the hot dog which was served on Italian bread. Not what I would ever order for a 3 year old! No grilled cheese. We split the hot dog between the kids and ate the pizza and the grilled cheese finally came out when we were ready to leave and it too was on Italian bread - really! A kids grilled cheese on Italian bread. I asked that it be removed from the check and then my husband gave the waitress a credit card to pay. We left and my husband stayed behind to finish the transaction. We were out watching the parade and I went back to see what was taking so long and he was still waiting for the credit card and slip to sign! I approached the staff who was saying how they were short handed etc. if that was the case do not open your dining room! Do not accept reservations! The waitress told us she had given us back the credit card when she had left it on some other table in the bar area!!! Terrible experience and will not be back and will share with all my friends!

Placed a deposit to host an event here back in August for a surprise 60th birthday for our parents, and we were told we could bring our own alcohol by the manager. We never received any follow up from the manager and had to basically chase them to confirm details. Two days after chasing them and finally getting in touch with someone, prior to our event they told us we were not able to bring our own alcohol after we already purchased everything. Joe the owner is incredibly rude and said “what the f$&@ do you want me to do?!” About an issue that his staff created. So be prepared to be cursed out if you decided to do any business here. We had to scramble very last minute to ensure we could still have our surprise party for our parents.

Serves great pizza, friendly staff, only reason I gave 4 stars is because the garlic knots looked like Pillsbury crescent rolls with butter on them, tasted zero garlic...maybe they ran out of something but this was a terrible excuse for a garlic knot
