In the '70s and early '80s it was one of the only malls.. it's nice to see it coming back. The big malls are horrible. It's nice to see the original malls.

I like this Weiss. It's big and clean. But of course the one thing I went specifically for was out of stock!! Maybe next month.

Westgate is changing but it is looking a lot better. Westgate jewelers moved to a different location and a few shops are currently empty. I actually went this time to take my daughter to Skyzone.

Westgate Mall is due for a major renovation. Excluding Weis’s parking lot, the parking lines are all faded or completely gone.
They add a few staples (Johnny’s Bagels, Skyzone, Weiss w/ Gas Station, wine & spirits and Dom’s Westgate pizza) to the area that will keep Westgate anchored for a while but I hope they’re able to fill the remaining empty stores with good businesses.

Birthday party for my nephew Asher. Kids had a great time. Staff was on point and courteous.

The Store is bigger than the old one and obviously brand new. However I miss the old store. My Great Granpop took me there and worked there part-time (1960's) when he was retired, and it was the original Danny's IGA. He used to make the big pot of free coffee for the customers located in the back of the store. I liked the older smaller store much better. I wish they would have kept that location and the mall area where you entered. I also would have liked to see them remodel the store like the original where they had a water wheel and fish around it back by the award winning beef they used to sell years ago.
This area is getting to commercialized for me. There are too many transplants living here, and now, with an NJ Owner of the Mall, they are destroying the nostalgia that little mall once had. What do they care when they dont live here and it's all about the money for them. I say, stay in NJ and continue to ruin your own state.
