We waited ten minutes next to the cashier but nobody started to give us service so we left, we could go quite far in the exhibition, but then got turned around. No service.

Nice museum, a very cheap choice if you are interested in the city's history

Absolutely fantastic museum, and only 5€! There are an incredible array of artefacts from throughout the history of Dresden, covering the mediaeval era, the baroque, the wars and the GDR. Also a wonderful art gallery included in tticket price. Can't recommend highly enough and so much better than all other museums in Dresden.

Small but very interesting museum about Dresden, you can visit it in an hour by taking your time. Just unfortunate that not everything is translated from German to English. I feel that you get much more if you understand German.

For the history part, it's just 5€, way cheaper than most museums in the city. The shop has a good diversity of stuff to bring as souvenirs, including good postcards.
