Delicious!! Everything we ordered was great, but we loved the mole and fish taco. The drinks menu is expansive but not daunting. Great vibes, came for a date night and will return. Thanks!

Incredible! The food was divine, ambiance was lovely and service was so kind. We loved Jorge! Thanks for talking to us about food and making us laugh. Can’t wait to go back for the scallop ceviche

This was the best Mexican I've had in Park Slope. I had the chicken and my girlfriend had the steak. Both meals were delicious, but I'd say the chicken was the best chicken I've had in years, hands down. Juicy with crispy skin and delicious sauce. The service was slow (took 40+ minutes to receive our food after ordering), but that's probably because we didn't get drinks or apps. Both looked great, but not for us. The vibe is a little loud, but great decor with very pleasant energy. Looking forward to bringing my parents here when they visit next time.

Got the fish taco and elote which were both very good. The fish taco was cod and was deep fried and extra crispy. To drink I had the Cariñosa which was a little sweet for my taste.

Alma Negra is a vibe. The restaurant’s decor isn’t your typical Mexican flare but instead is cozy with tons of plants and a clean aesthetic. The tacos were made with corn tortillas which were extra fresh and packed with flavor. Highly recommend starting with the guacamole and don’t skip dessert!

Alma Negra in Redhook, Brooklyn, serves up some seriously delicious Mexican eats. The pork ribs were insanely tender and flavorful, while the black tamale made with blue corn was a unique hit. Yeah, the service was a bit slow, but the food totally made up for it. The portions were generous and perfectly priced. The vibes were cozy and welcoming, adding to the whole experience. Overall, despite the laid-back pace, Alma Negra's fantastic food and cool atmosphere make it a top spot for satisfying Mexican cravings in Brooklyn.

The place has a dark, intimate atmosphere. The service was excellent, very attentive and fast. The guacamole was outstanding, creamy, acidic, and fresh homemade chips rounded out the experience. The aguachile de tuna didn't actually have tuna (I didn't find any), which was disappointing but the salsa Verde was incredibly flavorful and a little spicy and the cucumber was a unique refreshing addition. The carne asada was perfectly cooked, the sauce was delicious, and came with garnish but not really a side. The arroz verde had a bold cilantro and garlic flavor but I thought lacked texture. The calamari and shrimp were well cooked. The cocktails were creative and beautiful.
