CQ Express

Went to buy take out yesterday. We ordered and so did a lot of other ppl. We waiting and noticed that a lot of the customers already got their food and left. We asked the cashier why our order if taking so long. She said the cook was doing it by the order of the number. Our number was 50 and other ppl who’s number was after us got their food so we asked again. She said yes yes the cook is cooking by order. Total we waited for over 40 mins just for 2 items of take out. We notice that the cook only cooks in a batch when others ordered the same thing and left the single orders for last which was over 40 mins later when he started cooking our order. Food was ok but service was very very bad. Lucky we don’t come that often but beware if you do cause you’ll be waiting awhile

the food is great , you choose the dim sum you want with noodles or fried rice , vegetables
There is Chef Tony's at Metrotown Centre food court it does offer you a little more . I tried from hear from you once , the food is great ,

Extremely generous with the soups! Delicious food with fair portion sizes. Chinese restaurants must be generous like this to get my business. It's my go-to spot when I have these cravings now. Sometimes the flavor changes but usually it's decently good.

Idk what happened to this place. They started off with really cute dim sum, unique pieces, and made-to-order dishes. They still do the made-to-order thing but the quality of the food has definitely take a turn and the dim sum is no longer unique.
The standard for taste has definitely dropped.
For service, today seemed off; there was one person working (?) and they seemed like they were having a really rough day.

We were satisfied with our order.
Service was efficient but kind enough.
DimSum taste good, warm and fresh.
Lunch set special was freshly cook to order,
Ginger beef crispy and tasty.
General Tso's Chicken was yummy too.
Fried rice, Both corn soup and Hot & Sour soup were ok.
Worth what we paid for.
We'll be back.

Tried the lunch special as well as some dimsum. The dessert buns looked fantastic, especially the very adorable pigs, but that was unfortunately the highlight of the experience.
The hot and sour soup smelled intensely chemical, reminiscent of some sort of paint thinner. The chicken pie came in a pastry shell that was essentially raw dough, and when we informed the woman at the counter she repeatedly informed us that this was the way it was supposed to be. Would absolutely not recommend, there are plenty of other alternative food options in the mall.

Creates "fancy" looking dim sum. Some looks better than the taste. Steamed sponge cake was as expected. Black Gold Shrimp Dumpling was ok. But the Mushroom Bun with Chicken was unexpectantly sweet. Not my preference.
