Karibu Restaurant

Good food and decent portions. If you are hungry and in Cape Town at the Waterfront, you should visit the Karibu Restaurant. It serves traditional Greek cuisine that leaves nothing to be desired. I recommend the lamb shank - so tender that the meat falls off the bone, the sauce is also delicious. The waiters are all friendly and make you feel right at home. After a long day at the waterfront, the Karibu was just the right choice for us.

The food was amazing and the very was exceptionally beautiful. The lamb shank melted in my mouth & the way it fell off the bone….whew it was amazing!!

I had dinner with customers in this restaurant that is right on the sea. It can be reached very quickly from the parking lot of the mall (for a fee) and although there are many people it was not difficult to find a free table. The waiter was very kind in proposing and explaining the typical dishes on the menu, personlamente I chose to stand on the meat, although there were many fish dishes on the menu. The service was very quick and the meat was really great, cooked the right way and the right point. Even the recommended side dishes were really good. I recommend it for European tourists because in this restaurant, you will find what in Europe is impossible to find: ostrich, gazelle, crocodile, warthog,

exotic african food. we ordered platter of meats including ostrich, which was very interesting.
overall taste was not bad; but we expected a lot since we heard how good it was.
prices were reasonable.
service was okay until we tipped 10% and the waiter suddenly turned a bit hostile.

Went to Karibu a few years ago om a date and my girlfriend and I had an amazing time. The food was incredible and presented really professionally.

Went back in Feb after proposing to my now fiancée and once again the food blew us away.

The only minor downside was having a lady come around while dancers were performing to ask for a donation (not sure of the charity). But the apart from the 5seconds she was at our table, the dinner, atmosphere, service was once again flawless.

We had lunch, the views are amazing in front of the waterfront. The waiters are really nice and they take care of you. The food is cheap for a medium quality. We asked for medium in our stake it came dry. Besides that the desserts were delicious and for three mains twos desserts and drinks it was 50€

Meals were absolutely delicious and the location was really nice. It's a neat restaurant with ample seating and is very classy.

Service was also quite impressive and when we had an issue, they resolved it quite promptly.
