If you’re really unlucky you might hear a certain train announcer. He wears a peg on his nose and used to do voiceovers for 1940s public info films.
Clean station, but the display was wrong and we waited on the wrong platform for half an hour and had to run across the station to get on our train which was ready to depart when the announcement was made that it was a different platform than what the board said. I was not impressed.
Would like to show my appreciation for the two Station ladies who change a dire morning into a really good day. Had a tkt for 9.24am Avanti trip to Liverpool for a ‘special’ birthday celebration. Despite giving a 50 min gap for a normal 15 min run Traffic made it impossible 😡. Arriving as the train ‘chuffed’ out these two ladies on the platform organised a change of ticket for another Liverpool bound train. The effort was so lovely & so appreciated. THATS what I call star service 🤩
8 travelled from stafford to birmingham as stoke station was closed due to strike .I have a disability the staff there were amazing went above and beyond to help me thankyou al of you I didnt get your names but it was three ladys
Amazing stuff, really good stuff, glad they now masks on atleastnit hides the fact that they don't mind,literally. Only 1 lady and 1 gentleman tried a slight smile and they wre extremely lovely. There's a young lad, I'll find out his name...honestly this guy is unbelievable, so rude, not helpful at all. Walks like he owns the train station. He is like a bad egg in the basket.

Great facilities (including free WiFi), Starbucks and WHsmith conveniently located close to the main entrance. Snack machines located on platforms.
A good number of heated waiting rooms, with plug sockets for charging phones, laptops, etc.
Disabled access including an easy access disabled toilet.
The station is conveniently located to Stafford high street, and a good number of attractions are close-by.

After my trains got canceled repeatedly and my 1h journey turned into a 3h odyssey the staff at the train station and on the platform helped me get at least a partial refund and even gave me directions to a nice local place to eat. Nice guys and definitely deserve a pay rise.
