One of the biggest banyan tree 🌴 approximately 400 years old. Located in Bangalore Karnataka. Almost 28 Kilometres from Bangalore, Don’t take the express way if you are coming from Kengeri side, kindly try to avoid bringing food here, lots of monkeys 🙉 are roaming here, they will try to attack if you are carrying food items. The place was really very nice 👌 and entry is free. Shops available nearby to have light food.

What a wonder! The cooling that its shade gives is superb! Some more installations may happen soon. Also there's a ticket counter which is unmanned as yet so we can enter free as of the day we went (two days back).

Beware of monkeys! They're a menace. Don't carry any food, drink or any personal belongings loosely in hand. Keep them deep in your pockets or locked away somewhere (in your car, locker etc) if possible. We had a monkey try to snatch a drink.

Very nice place for a half day outing from Bangalore. The place is well maintained, with a good path to walk. We get space for parking also. We visited on a Sunday morning, Visiting crowd is floating, so it’s not over crowded.

This place is a unique experience for us to see the beautiful way in which the Aalada mara (Banyan tree) grows. And the way her babies extend out of branches of the mother tree and progress to grow as new tree

All connected (like we humans should be with nature)

You'll also get lucky to watch some monkeys playing around and jumping (take a glimpse in the video attached)

It's not a very big place but a cute one and with sitting places

Spending the afternoon here would be joyous for sure;)
Note: When I visited here on the weekend, it closed at 5:30 pm so make sure you are here sooner.

It's an old and huge Banyan tree, almost 400 years old. One of it's kind, spread across a large area. The same tree has outgrown several other trees through the hanging roots. One time watch attraction. Good place for kids, they can run around and play. Just ne careful of the monkeys. There are many monkeys so do not carry any edibles in your hand.

The big banyan tree.. Yes it is the biggest banyan tree which is 400years old. It is also one of the historical place in india . It is really difficult to capture it in one image.
The location is completely correct in google maps. We went on Sunday afternoon, quite a traffic less journey. It took us 01:30 hours from my place. Parking is available nearby. There is no entry fee in this place. Monkeys are present in this place. So be careful with your belongings. Paid toilets are available .
Nice getaway with your family.
Also huge nurseries are on the way where you can go flower shopping as well.
Tea stalls are also present nearby to have a tea and snacks.
