Genki Sushi

Used to be one of my favorite restaurant. Now it’s not as good as it used to be. We waited 30 minutes until our foods arrived. For appetizers we ordered jelly fish and edamame. And it took 30 minutes to arrive and another 10 minutes at least for the next one. Amidst it’s packed lunch time.
The beef rice came shortly after that. If it’s not for the kind and warm hospitality of the waitresses, the visit will be very bad. The problems could be at the kitchen. Don’t know why it took them so long to prep and serve the food.

always love genki! the place is convenience. the food are amazing. I just found out their faiyaa ramen is surprisingly good! somehow theres something like “indonesian touch” in it. will definitely come back :)

Consistently bad quality of raw food (SOP or storage issue), got severe food poisoning from its salmon head and octopus and was hospitalized with bacterial infection.
Avoid high risk food if you must go, the Plaza Senayan one has over all much better quality.

One of the affordable restaurants at Pacific Place. For just $8, you can get matcha ice, ramen soup, and a few pieces of sushi. Other menu items are also reasonably priced. You simply need to order at the cashier, and the food will be delivered to your table via a remote control. After finishing your meal, you'll pay at the cashier at the end.

Went here for an office lunch break with the team. This outlet is rather hidden in a corner of galleria Lafayette’s many floors, and its quite small. However, that doesnt stop it from delivering quality sushi.

We had the AYCE deal at 128k pre tax price. Was really blown away by the fact that the quality of food remained exceptional. Although the AYCE menu was predominantly made up of rice-based dishes, they were all varied and really enjoyable to explore.

The salmon nigiris were definitely the highlight of the show. Be sure to order in advance tho, the prep time may be decently long. The gunkans and handroll were exceptional too, they’re definitely generous with their topping.. each bite just bursts with flavour, the melty creamy texture from each piece of sushi, were immaculate. Good Job Genki. Hope they could improve on their sushi rice tho, as its definitely their weak point as compared to other sushi joints around in Indo.

They have been for a while in Jakarta, but I still appreciate the automated tray concept from their Japan restaurants.
Sushi is just average, but even an average sushi is still a good treat, and this is still a good place to have sushi. Service that I received on my few visits were nice and I have no complaints.

However it still feels a little bit weird for me as this is supposed to be a budget sushi place in Japan, but eating here I could spend the same amount as in other much nicer sushi restaurant..

Enjoy good Sushi with different ambience. Your food will deliver to you on a toy racing car, or any other unique style. Good fair price with good quality of Sushi and other modern style of Japanese Food. Located inside the Galleries Laffayete at Pacific Place, Jakarta.
