nice, modern, stylish place but we had a few challenges.
They got mixed up our specifications and we ended up having no food for breakfast and dinner , but worst, out little one didn't have bed at all! Unfortunately non of these issues been solved during two days. Luckily there is few nice restaurants just nearby.
bed was very comfortable , place is extremely clean and organized, very appreciated nonstop tea bar and public hot spring water on the top of the hotel was nice (nothing exceptional)
I appreciated choice of high quality cosmetics available in the room and public bath

I was truly excited about the immersive experience this hotel promised, but unfortunately, they missed the mark entirely.
Firstly, it was clear that the hotel was more focused on making a quick profit. They charged us a whopping $60 for just one hour of late check-out, despite our prior communication. This lack of flexibility was unexpected from what was supposed to be a five-star establishment.
Additionally, we lost one of the two keys they provided, a simple mistake that usually doesn't lead to such consequences. However, the hotel charged us another $60 for the missing key and treated it as if we had intentionally hidden it, which was rather frustrating.
The quality of the towels was disappointing, feeling cheaper than what you'd find in a typical three-star hotel. We had the opportunity to stay in two other five-star hotels in Japan during our trip, and the difference in quality was like night and day.
While the bed was comfortable, the sheets were of poor quality, something I wouldn't expect in a five-star hotel.
The only redeeming aspects were the stylish decor blending modern amenities and traditional Japanese design and the pleasantness of the staff (excluding the front desk). However, these positives don't justify the overall bad experience we had during our stay.

This hotel is absolutely incredible. Every detail from the moment you enter is very well crafted and thought out. The onsen on the top floor is also incredible. This was probably one of my favorite hotels I have ever stayed in. If you're looking for an authentic and outstanding Japanese experience, you should stay here.

Excellent modern ryokan. The room was serene and extraordinarily clean. The food was delicious and quite an experience. The onsen was a deeply relaxing highlight. Well worth the value. There was such a calm energy to all the staff, which I really appreciate after a long flight and being in the streets of Tokyo all day long. Would definitely return for another stay one day.

Pretty sad, I had to leave Japan earlier because of a switch in schedules and I let them know I couldn’t make it 10 weeks in advance. The hotel then rented out the room to others and still charged the entire rate to my CC. I definitely wouldn’t book it for my next trip, as I can’t expect any flexibility or the expected 5 star service from this hotel. It’s a shame bc it does look like a great place to stay.

What a lovely hotel. The staff was professional, polite, courteous, and kind. The check-in/check-out process was personable and unlike anything I’ve experienced before. The location was perfect; transportation was available by cab or subway which was located under the hotel. My room was amazing. The perks offered to guest really make you feel welcomed and at home. I look forward to another stay at this hotel.

Book this hotel if you are looking for an authentic experience. This hotel exudes a calm atmosphere, the furnishing and decor was exactly what I envisioned for Japan. The staff were not only amazing but there were so many staff members available. I felt like a valued guest throughout my stay. The rooms was huge and amazing, the Japanese breakfast was served in a private room and delectable! Staff ensured we had a smooth stay. The onsen experience was great, as well the tea ceremony and roof top kendo. I cannot say enough good things about my stay. The staff was very proficient in English and were helpful with taxi drivers etc. Next time I am in Tokyo I would not even consider looking elsewhere
