Hane Sushi

No customer service. You walk into a sign that says “please wait to be seated” just to have one of the girls yell from the other side of the shop “sit anywhere”. We were one 4 customers in the shop so that shouldn’t warrant the lack of customer service. Food was average, barely any variety on the train but we were there at 11:30 so maybe we were too early?
Shop felt real dirty. If that’s what a customer can see I wouldn’t like to know what goes on behind closed doors…

I walked into the restaurant at Nundah. There was one staff member in the kitchen and one sitting at the table with their back to me. Neither of them gave me any attention till I called out. Is it okay for me to sit down. Then when I sat down, I asked if there was any items that did not have an avocado in them, and the person in the kitchen gesticulated with their own. Yes, there’s some on the train. I couldn’t find any and I called out and said look this is not very good service. I’m trying to find something that’s got no avocado on it and I’m having trouble and she just said okay but made no attempt to come over and help me find some I have to say that this is the worst service I’ve ever had. In Japan, you can’t get anything but good service and why you keep putting avocado on stuff is beyond me. Nobody in Japan put avocado sushi

Don’t preorder if your in a hurry. Placed order at 4:58pm and was advised would be ready at 5.25pm. Arrived just after this. Waited more the 30min before being told food wasn’t even started (there was very few people there). Didn’t get food til 6pm. Got home 1 chopsticks and 2 soy sauce for a family to share.

Nice staff, clean restaurant, good parking (parking lot in Woolworths and walk over). Recommend the bao buns!

I have a sesame allergy which I informed staff about and the rice came out, with sesame on it. I asked them to remake it and I watched the staff member scoop the top layer of rice off and then put new rice on, not remake it. When it was given to me I saw in the rice there was still sesame so I couldn’t eat it, then I noticed there was sesame on the plate and on the bottom of the karaage chicken I ordered. Totally unacceptable and lucky I didn’t need to use my epi pen as I noticed before I consumed anything.

The peking duck sushi and aburi scallop were very petite but nice enough. I enjoyed the chewy udon noodles and the light broth, but the lean and tough chashu was a major disappointment. The spicy tonkotsu ramen had a great spicy kick, however the soup was too salty. The karaage chicken had very minimal batter and did not deliver the juicy and crunchy flavour that was expected from this dish.
We dined on a Sunday afternoon, so the restaurant was not too busy. Service was quite half-hearted, which was another letdown.

Fantastic spot, we loved everything we tried and there was a good variety. The staff were lovely, the place was clean, freshly ordered items came quite quickly and the food on the conveyor belt tasted fresh too.
