Rubicon Deli

I love this place! The food is excellent and they are very thorough and reliable. I have used them for catering medium to large events on multiple occasions and they do a wonderful job. One time I had an issue with 3rd party deliver vendor (not Rubicon) and they made it right. They have earned a loyal customer with their excellent food and service!

Can’t believe it took me this long to find this restaurant. The portions were massive af and the sandwiches are really tasty. Big amounts of every topping and meat, can’t go wrong with anything you order. I ordered the Dapper Dipper (roast beef, swiss, tempura onion, horseradish, au jus) and he got the Rich Boy (chipotle chicken, avocado, monterey jack, lettuce, tomato, onion, garlic mayo). Both were really good but I think I liked the Dapper Dipper better. Would recommend everyone to check this place out.

I was bored and hungry while I waited for a friend having eye surgery. Decided to grab a sandwich at the nearby deli. WOW! I would eat here everyday if I lived up here. I had their dapper dip on Jalapeno bread. Might be the best sandwich I've ever had. And it came with a warm little cookie!

One of the best sandwiches in San Diego! Multiple choices of chicken/bacon/beef sandwiches with significantly different flavors. Blue cheese and garlic cheese bread is recommended. Half is enough to feed an adult.

Parking is iffy but I ran in for carry out.

Build your own option was great and it was perfect. The cookie was a nice surprise and the Dutch crunch bread is fantastic. Will be back!

UPDATED: the achin 4 bacon sandwich is literally out of this world! obsessed. the sandwiches are HUGE though, so plan to share with someone or maybe order a half “lunch box”. rubicon has one of the best sandwiches i’ve ever had, and honestly might be the best sandwich place in san diego. love!!!!😍

update feb 26, 2024: what?😭 ordered our fav sandwiches here through uber eats and a MASSIVE bag of just bread gets delivered? how does this happen.. what? literally insane. if they can’t fulfill the order I understand but why would you accept the order? seems like a bag of trash/donations or maybe even a TooGoodToGo order? unmarked bag, no UberEats receipt, just a ton of bread, two bags of chips, a bag of cookies and no sandwiches. so sad, i was so excited to order from here again 😂 photos attached

Lured here by 2g2g at the last minute as we were in the area and they were closing, thought we'd check them out and my oh my they gave us a huge surprise bag filled to the top with bread and a couple bags of chocolate chip cookies. The bread were pillowy soft, smelled and tasted amazing, we will be using them to make lots of sandwiches, thank you so much for your generosity! 🫶
