Sushi Yokohama

Had the Sushi boat and a5 wagyu. Everything was awesome and worked out to be $50 per person with tip for 3 people, totally worth it.

I really liked the quality of the food , even though I asked for a plate to be changed as I realised I have ordered the wrong plate - a combo I didn’t really liked the miso soup and I didn’t realise the dish contained sashimi which I am not really a fan of- but this wasn’t changed and I had to order something else. Overall a nice experience and very good quality food!

Update May 2024: we came here for a birthday and they were generous to give us a free sushi roll and a fried ice cream. I am never disappointed when I come here!!

There are many sushi places in the area, but we always come back to Yokohama. Every time we go, we know we will get delicious sushi at a fraction of the price compared to the restaurants around but the quality is still just as good, if not better! We got a seat at the bar, where we watched the sushi chefs work their magic. Fun atmosphere and delicious food!

Enjoyed coming here, service was prompt, and food came out pretty quickly! Shrimp tempura roll is always a favorite, but I also liked the peanut avocado roll.

This has been our favorite sushi spot. We've been dining at this restaurant for over a decade, even before they moved. It's the top choice for local sushi and their chicken katsu is simply the best.

Had reservations for 2 on Wednesday and was seated right away. Restaurant was about half full. Place seems clean and the staff was attentive, not really welcoming but not rude either.

Started off with the edamame which was seasoned well and tasty. Ordered 2 fatty tuna sashimi along with 4 white tuna sashimi. For some reason the white tuna came out as sushi but decided to eat it anyway. The fish was fresh and delicious. We also got fried dumplings which were crispy and flavorful.

Ordered the beef yakisoba and it was pretty terrible. Noodles were mushy because it was overcooked. The beef was dry and stale, and the veggies were also mushy. Overall not much flavor going on. My friend thought I had gotten chicken because the beef was so pale. Left 2/3rds of the meal, just wasn't good.

My friend got one of the special rolls and it was really good. Drowning a bit in sauce but it was tasty. This place is definitely better with their sushi the entrées.

When we finished our meal the waiter just slapped down the check without asking about dessert. We ended up ordering the fried ice cream. It also wasn't good. Very raw dough taste. Left that behind and just ate the ice cream.

Delicious and fresh sushi. We got the Yummy Yummy, Hurricane, and Godzilla rolls and enjoyed them very much. The three rolls took a little while to arrive but the service was nice so I can’t complain. I would definitely come back and recommend a try!

Update: they now have a Main Street roll and it’s the best. One hundred recommend this special as it has avocado, shrimp tempura, honey crabmeat, etc.

Now for my standard COVID comments as of March 2022. All staff members are wearing masks. Each table has hand sanitizer provided. Seating is pretty spaced indoors. Felt very comfortable sitting inside and enjoying my lunch!
