Incredible location. Great playground for the kids. I would park my car and walk around the park and spontaneously my walk extends to nearby neighborhoods and it’s beautiful. Definitely my kids want to go back.

This was a lovely alternative to the city parks we normally walk on SLC Marathon day! Easy to get by by I215. Nestled near 3 local restaurants and in the Cottonwood neighborhood, we did 2 miles on the trail and loved it. It was serene. The Cottonwood Creek on most of the trail. We went as far as the reservoir.

The trail has walkers, runners, bicyclists. My cuff crutches helped me ambulate the trail with no difficulty.

Absolutely love this park for the kids! You can take it all the way up Big Cottonwood Canyon Trail or just stay around the loop of the park. Great water feature in the summer and large grassy field to play. Picnic area and covered pavilion. Bathrooms - sometimes they are not unlocked FYI! Upper trails across the bridge that kids can explore in the wooded area and look at the creek below. You can hang a hammock and relax or bike around. Dogs welcome & must be leashed.

Knudsen park is fantastic! Really nice playground in great condition, a few walking trails, right near the base of the mountains, has nice bathrooms and drinking fountains. Gorgeous place! Several shaded tables under a pavilion. Has the coolest water feature (it's not a splash pad). It's an interactive feature of water pumps, dams, and troughs, running through boulders to climb on. It's best when several kids are using it at the same time so some kids can pump and some can turn the spiral thing that carries water to the troughs. My kids didn't want to leave. Based on other google reviews, due to drought they might turn the water off at various times throughout the day but when we were there from 11-1pm it was on. This will be a place we go to often this summer. That water feature gives your arms great exercise and it's nice seeing kids work together!
