I would not recommend this club to anyone looking for a family friendly country club. I previously posted several things, which I stand by all of them and in most cases have evidence of, but one member gave a peek inside the curtain of this world. Joining a country club is a large financial investment. And people should be able to hear all experiences, that is what the internet is for.

I know by no means I met every member, and I am sure there are some great members there. I just didn't get to meet them. As previously shared, I know my breakup from a club member, as well as his divorce stemmed from the club culture and have heard second hand accounts of 4 other divorces in the last few years because of it.

I know there is a level of defense when someone doesn't follow the mob mentality. Some of the comments made about me are such gross exaggerations, it further proves a huge climate of this club is gossip and lying. I stated facts with no names or identifying details and a woman I never met and my ex doesn't even know tore me apart online based on things she would have heard as gossip around the club. I did report the review to Google, so if it is taken down it falls under the category of "bullying" in case you are looking at joining the club and wonder what kind of people are members.

I am okay taking that hit to show people the mentality of this club. I am okay knowing I heard racist and homophobic comments at the club, and saw countless people drive drunk. And it is extremely validating that instead of anyone taking ownership and wanting to change, they gossip about me all day on the 4th, and drag my name through the mud. As I use to ask my ex, where were the kids while you adults were doing this? Call me old fashioned but holidays should be about the kids, not gossiping to every single member of a club.

I wish no member of the club ill, even the ones who actively tried to hurt me and my relationship. Even as a middle school teacher l I didn't experience a "mean girl" group like over there (out of respect for them I will not post what they call themselves, again, first hand heard it several times). I hope maybe this helps someone change their ways (which based on the reaction of the members, it won't and is only showing a worst side of them), if not I hope it helps a family or couple be able to see a more full picture of the club before purchasing a membership. There are three for sale right now, with no wait list-one member would sell today if you are interested reach out, so the reputation might already be out in the valley. I hope three amazing families buy them and help change the culture to a little less of the madness I witnessed there.

The Cottonwood Club is a little slice of heaven. Friendly members, wonderful staff and fantastic programs for golf, swim, pickleball and tennis. I feel lucky to be a member.

Nice relaxed club atmosphere. Pool gets busy at times, restaurant has surprisingly good food.

We love the club. So many great memories with our family. Our server Kim who has been so great over the years treats us like family and makes it very special. Great people and great employees.

I have been a member here for over a year. While playing pickle ball I was interrogated by the tennis pro asking if I was a member here, I said yes, then he proceeded to ask my full name, implying he didnā€™t believe me. He told me that the management has been asking them to enforce this. It was belittling and demeaning, and the opposite of what I would call good customer service. This was uncalled for. If you are looking to enforce a policy, that is the last way I would do it. Member number #557.
