A surprising number of functioning toys (supplemental toys not the actual play structure) compared to other parks in the area

Summer or winter, I love this park. Great snow sledding hills and the playground is perfect for toddlers.

Very small, but very decent playground for my 18 month and almost 4 year old. Only two swings, and two slides, but plenty for the kids to enjoy for an hour or so. Doesn't look like the area is maintained very well, but loads of nice green field space around for kids to explore as well.
A delightfully large and spacious public park.

It was great hanging out there with my baby I take care of during the day. Plenty of toys for them to play with. Good shade from the trees. But fence and gate needs to be repaired especially for those that come with little kids that can wonder off.

Nice little park with some picnic tables. Close to a good ice cream shop and a wholefoods, so you can grab a snack and spend a few hours in the sun!

The location of one of the actual forts that once surrounded Washington DC, but all ramparts and fortifications are all gone. The park is a lovely hill and small field with a couple picnic tables, a small playground, and an old boundary stone marking DC's border.
I would give the park a higher mark, but the city recently replaced the flooring for the playground, but didn't bother upgrading or adding to the older structures. Still, this is a tranquil place to visit and bring the kids.
