The Legal Aid Society

They don't answer phone calls and they don't return voice messages

They keep you on hold then calls goes silent after five minutes. They keep saying to call back when you do no changes.

Simply this....I never got returned call and well over 24hrs...1 week still nothing. Definitely not a good experience 😕 😞

I've been calling the legal aid society since mid June and no one responded to me still and the phone number they give you goes to one person voice-mail which I left a dozen voice-mail and no reply still the legal aid society is a pure scam I think

Worst people ever! Tgey won't help you it's all a lie! They get paid yo make sure you loose! My attorney came to my house and went upstairs to the owners house my legal aid attorney went to the plaintiffs house! He did nothing go help me all he did was lie and lie to the judge! There is no real help. They will lie to you. They won't help its all a lie.

I was referred to The Legal aid Society by NYS Bar Assoc. and spoke with Cynthia Otero, a Legal Case Handler. I was asking about how (what is the process) to submit an Affidavit to court case I was not a party to and was surprised that an angry Otero would tell me that it was a "conflict of interest" for her to provide me with the information! Since the affidavit had to do with a case that a legal aid lawyer (at another office) was assigned to she could not bring it upon herself to do her job. It was not a conflict of interest since she is not a lawyer!!! Total waste of time, unprofessional and ill informed.

My experience was super great, I appreciate the help of the lawyer even though when the pandemic was affecting everyone, the lawyer Always,Was working with my case. She never let me alone. Thanks, Thanks, Thanks.
