Steel House

Have been living at Steel House for 3 years and it has been such a good experience. Very pet friendly and has all the amenities we need. The monthly resident events are always so fun. I can’t wait for the warm weather and the pool party!!!

I love this place! The staff is always pleasant and the complex feels safe. Super pet friendly also! Highly recommend!

Steelhouse is absolutely phenomenal. The apartment complex as a whole is well maintained with a nice gym and pool. Maintenance requests are always completed in a timely manner. Management is super friendly and occasionally puts on events where the apartment community can hangout and meet each other. Also couldn’t ask for a better location in Grandview.

I lived at steel house for 2 years and couldn't recommend it more. Ryan and each of the other employees are really friendly and very good at their jobs. Maintenance issues were always handled quickly and thoroughly. I always felt respected as a tenant. Rent is pretty fair in my opinion compared to other luxury apartments in the area. Also, the walls are thick and I never once heard my neighbors being loud.

A couple minor cons:
* Electric is sourced from a sub-metering company (AP&L) which means you pay 2-3x the price from AEP. To be fair though, most apartments in Columbus do this as well. AP&L charges ~17 cents per kwh whereas AEP charges ~7 cents. My electric bill averaged around $100 a month.
* The shower is designed poorly with open cracks that collect black mold and is pretty much impossible to clean.
* The apartment stays really hot in the winter. I had the whole system off from November - February but the apartment would stay around 76-78 degrees which is too hot for me. Felt weird having to open windows in below freezing weather lol. I guess the insulation is just really good so this might be a pro for some people.
* No recycling

Despite these few issues, I loved living here and would recommend it to anyone. Probably my favorite location in Columbus as well because it's right next to the climbing gym, Meister's, Crispy Coop, Loops, and Kroger.

I have lived at Steelhouse for over 3 years and I honestly can say they truly care about their residents. Ryan and maintenance will go above and beyond to make your stay here is overall wonderful. I am thoroughly impressed by how organized they are. I think they keep the apt very clean, and get maintenance requests done fast. We are currently getting our windows fixed and ryan has communicated every step of the way and it’s been a lengthy process so I commend him for staying on top of it. They even fix the little things like faucet pressure, heat/AC vents, squeaky door, etc. max it takes to fix is 2 days

I think the guests here are for the most part respectful and quiet! But I also am not afraid to have friends over if I want to! The only thing I would change about my experience here is if the pool was heated! It gets a bit chilly when it’s not. And potentially have security cameras out in the back alley way as it gets a little scary taking my dog out at night.

I lived at Steel House for nearly 5 years, basically from the time it first opened. I can truly say I really enjoyed my time living at this property. Ryan and the Coastal Ridge management team were always very professional and courteous, and they always kept the property clean and had frequent resident events. I rarely had any maintenance issues, and if I did, they were very minor and addressed almost immediately. The property was very quiet - I rarely could hear my neighbors. The only reason I moved was because I relocated out of state, otherwise I would have signed another lease. Thank you, Steel House, for a great experience!

I lived here for 2 years and really enjoyed the property. The employees at the property (Ryan, Morgan and Nate) were always very helpful and responsive. The property is very quite, I don't think I ever heard noise during my 2 years. Very clean and a great location! I moved due to needing more room for an office.
