First time going to something like this.
Basically is is a giant room, with multiple projections going on. Not sure if it is LED or laser but each wall as something going on.
The projections dont have continuity. You will see spaceships and aliens one moment and then octopus and dinosaurs the next. There doesn't seem to be a storyline.
Also the "interactive"activities are dumb. Its kids games on the floor projected onto the wall. Think of a game such as you to catch an octopus with a bubble and you make the bubble by stepping on the floor. Its kids games. You will bore of it soon. Even the staff were bored.
You are locked in this one room, being blasted by loud techno music, bombarded by these incoherent images on the wall while running back and forth on the ground trying to make bubbles to catch octopus.
Once you leave the room you get sent to an overpriced gift shop. Expect to pay around 30 bucks for a mini lite brite.
I would never do this again. It think it is over priced and not worth the hype. It would have been better if there were multiple rooms with things to see and do... But you make your own opinions

We went on a saturday evening and there was 0 wait and it was not busy at all which was awesome. Staff is nice and got everyone involved in the interactive aspect. Visuals and sound are good quality and it was an enjoyable experience!

I'll preface my review by saying we were tourists from out of town. The exhibit was eye-catching and definitely makes for good photos. However, it wasn't what we were expecting going in. From the name, we thought there would be multiple art installations made out of actual Lite-Brites. In reality, everything is done via projections, and you stay in a single room the entire time. I enjoyed the experience well enough, but wouldn't come back. This is probably geared towards a much younger audience. There were lots of little kids running around. The music was almost too loud, but it served to cover up the sound of those kids screaming.

We have seen amazing visuals and a thorough entertaining spot at the Illuminarium. Visited the amazing space exhibit which is great for everyone especially kids! The soul expansion is something that is amazing for improving self awareness and have a holistic approach! Illuminarium is truly magical.

TLDR; It was a very underwhelming experience, and definitely not worth $50.
The place is basically a repurposed warehouse with some fancy(ish) projectors and speakers. As you enter, you’ll immediately get the feeling you’re in an unfinished building and you’ll start to regret it right away.
The first 10-min intro was decent, but it was all downhill from there. It’s basically a show on a loop and they let hordes of people in every 15 mins or so. It starts with images about constellations — mixed with astrological messages, mind you. Then, some images of planets depicted with a lot of artistic liberties. So, you don’t know if it’s an actual image from a satellite or some artist’s dreamt up version they wanted to sell as a wallpaper.
Visuals and information keep coming up on multiple screens and you won’t know where you should be standing to take all that in. There’s no sequence as such indicated by them. If that’s not frustrating enough, these visuals are punctuated by trippy, hypnotic music and imagery. Most of the time there’s too much information scattered all around and there’s no time to soak it in. It’s all unguided after the first 10 mins, so it’s mostly find your own adventure.
The worst part of all is that they let far too many people in at once. The whole place was super noisy — chatter from people, kids playing, instagram influencers posing? (Or whatever that was). I could have sworn there were at least 150 people at one point in that small space.
To rub salt on the wound, tickets were $50 each!! I definitely do not recommend this place. You’re better off doing something else with that $50.

Loved the overall experience but not worth the price, maybe 20-25$ would have been a great pricing but it is a good one time experience. They have a 10 min Pre show where they introduce you to the main experience and you go to the next room for the main experience. Staff is friendly. The room is not that big and you can still see the rooftop. It can be enjoyed by all the age groups.

What a fantastic show! My mouth was open the whole time. I wanted to be everywhere at once so I didn’t miss anything. The music was excellent, song choices on point. The imagery was incredible, the stars and planets were my favourite, I could have stared at Jupiter all night. It was the fastest 45 minutes ever. Well done!
