I did Medical Billing and Coding at this school around 2010. First do your research because they will let you pay the money, do the classes only to find out you will need more education to do the job. The courses are crammed or short for those who want a fast paced program WEEKEND ONLY and Longer for those who want 5 EVENINGS PER WEEK. I think they should provide more information on what you need before investing in this business. I had a maleAsian teacher who taught ICD code these were better understood when I filled lab forms a as a Nurse a decade later!!! So it all worked out! Thanks to my school.

This school is a complete scam ! The finical aide advisor is whacko. I was going there for 3 months. The teacher was always late and the test was never a real test. He would give us the answers to study. When I decided to leave the Finical aide advisor stated I would only have to pay the loan back. When I called the company about the loan the stated I can get back the loan from the school being that I did not complete the 11 months course. When I called about this and after being transferred and hung up on a lady by the name of Linda ( One of the recruiters ) said that was not the case all. A lot of back and forth and no results. After that conversation I receive another letter saying I owe them 25,000 dollars for books I never received and a uniform that I know only cost 150 dollars.

I've been trying to reach someone and nobody has the answer just keeps transferring me over and over again. They aren't asking for information to pull up my record either which is completely weird. I will be taking them to court because it seems they are trying to use my loan as a bonus check for them and trying to have me pay them for working for a year. I highly recommend going to a real college with real help, real advisors and real teachers.

I had an awesome experience at the Manhattan institute. I took the nurses aid class, I learned a lot, the teacher was very nice and patient with all the students, The school is really set up beautifully with student lounge area, nice size classrooms and its not overly crowded. They have a lot of equipment to learn on, the staff in the front are very helpful with anything you need. Also the school is in a great location, you can even go shopping at Macys if you get a break. I was worried about getting employed afterwards but I spoke to Renee in job placement and she really helped me a lot, we worked on my resume, she helped me set up interviews and I got hired almost right away, turns out the woman that interviewed me also attended the Manhattan Institute back in 2000.
I am thinking of taking the EKG and phlebotomy class there as well, so I can further my career. if you want to better yourself and are looking for a career in the medical field then this is the school you should attend, although some of the other students are very negative and do not seem like they are really trying to learn, seems like they are just going because their parents want them to, but just stay away from the negative ones and focus on yourself.
My entire staff of swim instructors had to be certified with EKG and we all took courses there and it was wonderful. We loved the teacher. We were all surprised at how the school was so professional after looking at some whacko reviews. I must say that some people absolutely ignorant that courses cost and that schools must cover their business costs that is why they charge tuition and try to collect from the students that are on installment plans. The school has a big rent to pay and a big payroll; and they do not advertise themselves as a free institution. I saw nothing egregious about they way they behaved fiscally. I did see a bunch of people that were fiscally irresponsible not bring the balance of their monies and overreact about the school trying to collect. I felt bad for the school. Al ot of the students were just very unrealistic about paying for their classes.

First of all, if you've never done any form of medical office/hospital work, this course is probably not best for you.
They cram about six months worth of work in one month, but they have great teachers there who set the pace very well. I completed this course earlier this year ,and received all texts needed for completion.
It is definitely inexpensive for a reason!! At the end of the course the teacher will give you very REAL and informative advice on how to go forward, which state/ private exams are best and the best areas to seek employment. This information is worth the month of course work.
They have a strict time table, and work well with students to make sure they are getting all the benefits. I never felt rushed or overwhelmed with the huge amount of course study. Great teachers!!
