HAL Engine Division Materials Gate

One of the core division. Only Engines of military aircrafts and other helicopters are serviced, repaired or modified. Complete manufacturing & developing is not done here. Only servicing and small components replacing and testing will be done. "No gadgets are allowed" not even smart watch, pendrive or any other data transfer equipment. You can keep them safe anywhere with your wish or you can keep them in facility they provided at beside the entrance. Facilitated with high tech equipment, machine shop with CNCs, assembly and testing of engines. Very big division, I think if you want to learn, then 1 day is not enough for visiting.

The inner premises and area is well maintained. Very strict restrictions to get an entry. No digital gadget is allowed including smartphone and laptops unless you have special permission. The food at the canteen is awesome. The outer area also should be maintained properly.
You'll love the place in case you visit for some work.

For a day tour in the city, it is a good place to visit, will get nearby shops for tea and snacks, a lot of greenery in the road and well maintained. It is near to Indira nagar and K R Puram.

Dear HAL engine division. I am uber driver. Atleast 3 to 4 times of the week i pickup your staff in your company. Al.most 90% of the riders boarding cab in this location make an un wanted arguments when I ask them wear mask. They give silly reasons not to wear mask. Being such a prestigious institution they should be example to the public. Advise your people. My safety is compromised because of few. Law is Same for All.

This is entrance gate for HAL Engine Division. Entry to the premises is restricted. Those who have permission only visit this industry. Locker facility is providing for keeping personal belongings of visitor. No personal belongings permitted inside the campus including mobiles.

This is gate through which materials enter and leave the HAL Engine division and AERDC. Please note during shift changing times the entry might be restricted. There is a small reception where you can deposit mobile laptop etc. Limited parking available outside.

This place has no public Access, people can see only see board from outside. From the output they have produced over 60+ years, it doesn't look significant. Till now no Indian Aircraft Engine is airworthy for commercial or military aircraft.
