We come to P town every year for the past 15+ years with the dogs and every time I expect there to be some trees planted or some type of shade for the dogs. Sadly there's no shade except on the west side.

No shade and pebbles in middle of park is a terrible decision for dogs feet and yet it takes up half of the park acreage. During the summer, they should install a doggy pool or fountain.

No grass, no shade. Nice idea but it's too hot.

I went at 11am on a Tuesday morning with my pug and there was just one other dog there who stayed to himself. There is barely any shade at all anywhere. Great that they have two areas, one for large dogs and one for small. There are a couple of water fountains. Left in about 10 minutes because my dog was looking to mingle.

My dog LOVES the park and all of the dogs she meets! Great asset to Ptown!

Everyone that we met there was incredibly rude, they were honestly kind of like a cult…. It’s hard to describe but we were very much not welcomed by the people that were already there. Amongst many other negative things, I don’t understand why there is pavement and stones. It was really hot yesterday and we were there for maybe 10 minutes before we felt awkward enough to leave, and in that 10 mins my poor dog had burns on his paw pads. Just an all around disappointing experience. Especially considering it was so highly rated and there isn’t a whole lot to do with dogs down the cape anyways. Sad.

Cute little dog park! The dog park itself would better be described as a dog run, as it’s one of those kinds that’s a long, open space surrounded by a fence that’s mostly got room for dogs to run around in, with less actual things for a dog to interact with. There’s a large and small dog side, with the small dog portion being a little smaller than the large dog one. That being said, it suits its purpose well, and is an interesting place for humans to go as well as to take your dog to get some free reign time! Around the park are several interesting sculptures and a little memorial to dogs who have passed on, which I found to be honestly very cute and sweet. In the park itself there’s water fountains both for humans and dogs, but these were closed when we came by due to COVID. Speaking of, the park is a mask-only zone, so be prepared to sweat your mask the entire time you’re there! There’s parking in a somewhat small lot out front, but when we came at 5pm or so there was plenty of space. The park is relatively accessible, though the gravel may be somewhat difficult to traverse. Lovely little park in total, good for a quick outing for your dog!
