I have lived here since January 2024 & it has been one of the best experiences I have ever had at an apartment. Not only is the monthly rent extremely affordable, it is equipped with washer & dryer connections (+10 points). Anytime there is a maintenance issue, someone is at my door the following business day without fail. The apartment manager, Megan is understanding, helpful, informative, and so so sweet. I have had zero pest issues since moving in. All in all, if I could give it higher than 5 starts, I would. I love Castlewood đ©·
So, I've lived here for almost a year and I really can't boast enough about the living and staff here. I was a little worried moving in because I haven't heard the best things about these apartments and theyve been here for some time. I live right in the middle of the complex and at night it's always quiet with the sweetest people that live around me. Very respectful and friendly. Ive also been very impressed by the front staff, especially Meagan the manager here. If there is any confusion on rent or anything wrong with my unit, she's VERY prompt to respond, and works with me but sometimes only able to communicate via email due to work. All staff is welcoming and friendly and even waves at us if they walk by when we check the mail. This is the most affordable, comfortable living for our little family right now and I can't think this place enough for our stay here! Xoxo
This is my first time renting, and it was quite a breeze getting situated with Castlewood. Our current management, Megan, is easy to talk to and very laidback, yet still gets things done in a timely manner.
Obviously rental life never comes perfect, but the attentive management, quiet community, and price point is really nice and therefore worth some little hiccups.

I've been living at Castle Wood for a few months now, and I can confidently say that Megan has made my experience here truly exceptional. From the moment I moved in, she has been an absolute pleasure to work with. Megan's dedication to her role is evident in her exceptional customer service. Whenever I had questions or concerns, she was always quick to respond with thorough and helpful answers. Even if she didn't have an immediate answer, she would acknowledge it and promptly follow up with the information I needed. Megan's kindness and willingness to go above and beyond have truly made a positive impact on my living experience at Castle Wood. I appreciate having her assistance and support throughout my time here.
I applied on 2/26 and paid $304 they said they would get me approved in 24-48 hours.
3/4 I am supposed to be moved out of my apartment by the end of the day and I hear not a word from them. I called them several times leading up to that day pleading to have them speed up the process, and the office lady said she would let them know its âurgentâ and that she would give me a call back. She never called back, no further progress was made.
That same day I thought maybe I could speed the process up by having my mother fill out her own application which in all cost $254. If it only takes 1-2 days for your typical applicant then surely she will get approved right? Wrong.
So i was forced to pay $320 for an extension of time at my current apartments in the hopes that Castlewood would get back to me. I called again, I was told I would receive a call back. I received no such call.
I got fed up with the situation and left an honest review, then suddenly they have the time for me. No they didnât call, they just left a reply to my review saying that they want me to contact them. When i did the office lady Meagan gave me some sob story about how everyone in the office is sick with covid and my bad review got her in trouble, and then she requested that i take the review down with the promise that she would contact corporate and get everything sorted out and give me a call back that same day. So in good faith I deleted the review, and surprise surprise, no call back. no email. Nothing.
fast forward to the last day of my residency (3/8) at my current apartments. I am mear hours from being homeless. Not a single call, message, or email from them. Not to me on my application or my mother on hers.
I got money together and worked something out with my current apartments and got myself a decent unit. Castlewood still hadnt returned hers or my calls or even approved/denied our applications for several days either.
Then on 3/11 3 days past when we were supposed to be moved out they FINALLY emailed me just to say i was denied and that my $150 deposit was gonna be refunded in 3-5 business days. They then called my mother back to say she was approved. My mother made it known that she didnât want an apartment and just wanted her money refunded to her, that she requested to have her application cancelled and her deposit returned. Meagans response was that because she was approved and doesnât want the apartment, that they get to keep her deposit.
They still havenât returned the money they stole from her. On 3/18 I made a call when I myself hadnât even received my money back and let me tell you they are snakes. You canât actually talk to the person you need to. You call their number and a middleman gatekeeps the line. They cant do anything for you, they just ask what youâre calling for, then say theyâll pass along a message and youâll receive a call back, which is a lie because 9 times out of 10 they dont. Its very hard to get in contact with their corporate team as well, but if you do manage to obtain their number, know that they also have a middle man, except these middlemen will dodge you and make excuses. Legit i called the exact number the regional manager left for me in a voicemail to call back and the middleman told me âYou called the wrong number this is an emergency lineâ and hung up on me. I called two more times and explained my situation to two different individuals and both used the same phrase to dodge me, which is ââŠI have a call on the other line please hold.â and they would pass me off to someone else who has no idea what im calling for so i have to repeat myself, all so they can tell me that they will âpass along the message and you should receive a call backâ which again didnât happen. Eventually though i did get in contact on 3/20 and they said they would mail a check. As of 6/7 still no check. Crude, shady, and extremely unprofessional business practices. For your own sake donât waste even a penny on these people. To this day they dodge my calls.

Came to see meagan for an apartment at royal Wildewood & castlewood. Very great experience, she was very nice and thorough. Would recommend seeing her for any apartment needs!
Where to start, my fiance and I lost everything during hurricane ian in Florida. Since then we have bounced around between cheap hotels and family members home's in Texas . Due to our bad credit, and despite being willing to pay the whole rent upfront, we haven't been able to find a new home until we met Estella,the manager here at Castlewood. She really went to bat for us,even calling the owner's while they were on vacation. Because of her hard work and follow through we got approved despite other cheaper properties in the area not being willing to to take the chance on us, we now have a new home, and chance to start over. We absolutely love our new apartment and the area. We had one maintenance issue in the first week and it was quickly resolved. Hats off to Estella for going above and beyond â„ïž We both would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to live, with a great manager and maintenance team!!!
