San Jose Convention Center Parking Garage

Lady at the gate entry asked us if we want to prepay and we said yes and swiped our card. What we didn't know is that prepay meant whole day parking, whereas we wanted the hourly parking only. We tried to explain at the customer service station that we didn't want to park the whole day but they said they couldn't do anything as the ticket was printed. Moreover, the person was giving unrelated replies to my questions.

This place is a scam. They will charge you both for the day you arrive and the day you leave. So $25/day becomes $50 if you park overnight.

Also, there's no sign to say this isn't the Hilton parking garage, even though it's literally attached, and they'll happily rip you off when you've paid for parking in the Hilton.

Call your credit card company and get your money back.

Way too expensive. We parked at 10:30pm and left at 11:00am and charged us $43 when it said there was a flat rate of $30.
