My husband, our families, and I cannot thank Marcel and Velveteen Ensemble enough for everything. Velveteen Ensemble was recommended by our wedding planner, Jeff Stillwell of Stillwell Events (give him a call, he's the BEST!!!) for our wedding at the Metropolitan Club in NYC that took place this past Saturday, May 18, 2024 and we couldn't have been happier.
Marcel and his team are top-notch. They have a HUGE catalogue of songs you can choose from to play for your wedding. They also take meticulous notes and know all the ins and outs of playing string music for an event.
Walking with our parents at the same time down the two joining aisles to “Canon in D” by Pachelbel is a moment we will treasure forever and EVER. I cried the happiest tears. 🩷 I still have the chills!!! The other selections for the prelude and ceremony were so lovely. All the pieces flowed so seamlessly together to create the perfect soundtrack to one of the most important moments of our lives.
My husband and I heard snippets of the pieces played during cocktail hour (we were inside the library enjoying some food & beverages post-ceremony until we walked down the stairs of the Great Hall for our first dance) and everything sounded so, so wonderful.

Velveteen ensemble was the perfect beginning to our daughter’s wedding. The professionalism was flawless and guests paid attention without moving. Martin Krasner was responsive to all of us regarding music choices and everyone loved the musicians. As my husband and I walked with our daughter, the music helped us to experience the religious ceremony and we will never forget it.
Velveteen Ensemble performed at our wedding in May 2023. They were spectacular. Marcel was timely in his responses and clearly a professional. All our requests were easily accommodated and executed perfectly. We highly recommend Velveteen Ensemble for your event!

Best part of our wedding. Hands down. You will not regret hiring the Velveteen Ensemble. I wish I could listen to them play all day, everyday.
They were so accommodating to the music requests I had for our ceremony and all the fun covers we chose to do for happy hour.

We can’t thank Marcel and his team enough for making our wedding day so special! Not only is he so kind, professional, and constantly checking in leading to our wedding day. But Marcel and his team are extremely talented and play each song so beautifully! Everyone couldn’t stop talking about how amazing the music was and we are beyond thrilled with how everything went! We highly recommend using his company!!
