Stopped here for lunch and got the 5 Acres Burger. Really enjoyed the burger in the first bite - it was nice and juicy - but the flavor kinda went away as I kept eating. The fries were the clear winner - thin, crispy and simply addictive.

While waiting to attend the musical Himilton, my friend and I decided to eat here for lunch. I had a salad and she had 5 cheese & macaroni. I also ordered the brussel sprouts and the key lime pie for desert. The Brussels sprouts were burnt and salty so not a good idea to order them. The pie was very good put the coconut whip didn’t taste good to me. My friend said the macaroni was very good! I enjoyed the salad and loved the real bacon bits. The honey vinaigrette salad dressing was also very tasty.
The food is pretty pricy; I added chicken and bacon bits to salad so the total was $30. Our check was $66 and they add 20% gratuity plus tax.
Our server brought us a check for $162, he stated that another server added to it by mistake so he had to redo. Overall, the service was good and the food so I recommend if in the area.

The restaurant is inside Rockefeller Center and feels like a lunch joint. The 5A burger was delicious but the Turkey Club was entirely too thick to even eat- I had to deconstruct it and eat it with a knife and fork. The server was nice and came by our table frequently. Limited menu but ok if you want a good portion. French fries were the best! Very over priced- 2 burgers and a sandwich with included gratuity was $95.

Great restaurant especially after a busy day. My friend and I stopped in for lunch after being on the move since the early morning and we got oysters and salad. Everything was great, it was my first time trying oysters and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The Caeser salad with the house vinaigrette was out of this world. My friend did have to send back a drink she didn’t like but the server was super understanding and was quick to get her a new drink. 100% recommend stopping in

Nothing really special about this place. Seemed to be the safer choice for us, our last day roaming around Rockefeller before heading to the airport. Just basic American fare, choices could have been better. Food could have been better. If you don’t like auto-tipping, keep it moving!

unique location that proved ultimately disappointing. Be fully aware, as others have noted, that there is AUTOMATIC 20% gratuity added to the bill. So, unless the service blows you away, adding more is not really necessary. The location deep in the bowels of Rockefeller Center (Rink Level) was one of the only places we felt would meet our needs and was open after a late Sunday afternoon theater performance. Open air-no walls-dining area pretty much in the middle of the arcade shopping area. Seated promptly and offered beverages. It felt like the staff was short a body or two as waits for attention were long for there being only a few patrons. And it dwindled during our visit. It is hard to honestly say the service was worth the gratuity.
This lack of value continued into our meal. I am well aware that things cost more all around and the restaurant business is difficult and good labor is hard to attract and keep, etc. But if you have to charge $20+ for a glorified French Dip ($21) and a basic cheeseburger ($23) even if they come with fries, then maybe they should be replaced by other dishes. The French Dip is actually menu listed as a Chicago Beef Sandwich-the added house made Giardiniera being the only difference. We settled on these and after our wait, were disappointed to find dry sliced beef on one and a deeply well-done patty on the other. The au jus provided some solace on the sandwich, though it was quite salty to our taste, and more tomato condiment helped the burger. Servers asking the question on preferred doneness or a menu note would help with the burger situation. Fries were quite tasty. The meal filled us up and didn’t make us sick. From our one visit, can’t really recommend.

I recently dined at Five Acres and had an overall enjoyable experience. The food was good, the prices were reasonable, and the service was satisfactory. However, the restaurant's decision to automatically add a 20% gratuity charge to the bill without informing the customers beforehand was a significant drawback. If customers are aware of this policy, there should be no issue with providing additional tips as desired.
The food at Five Acres was of decent quality, with a variety of options available on the menu. The flavors were good, and the presentation was appealing. The prices were fair, considering the quality of the food and the dining experience.
The service provided by the staff was satisfactory, The staff members were polite and attentive, ensuring that our needs were met throughout the meal. However, the restaurant's decision to include a 20% gratuity charge on the bill without prior notice was a major disappointment. Transparency is important when it comes to such matters, and it would have been better if the restaurant had informed customers about this policy in advance.
