We've had some good meals here, but today was not one of them. We ordered a croque monsieur, which is supposed to be toasted and crunchy like a panini. What came out was a soggy, gloppy disaster on plain Wonder bread style white bread. It seemed like a joke. We sent it back, and they tried to fix it but it was still gloppy and soggy. See pics.

Edit: the side salad was soggy too, and had a tiny amount of dressing so everything was bland and mushy. Not the best day, but we'll be back!

Lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff. We had a sandwich with bread that was very stale and had to send it back and they were apologetic and made it right. The croissant truly is one of the best, their award is well deserved! Their drinks selection is great as well, will be back to try more things!

Great spot with variety of French pastries and cafe food selections. Love the vibe here. Happy to see they have French style crepe here. It’s similar to the one that I tried in Paris. I love the chicken sandwich with crunchy taste from the veges.

Food was nice and the location is great, but service is somewhat slow and we waited over 40 minutes for our food with no heads up. A pay before you eat place. Seating indoor and outdoor on a seat yourself basis. Alright to go if you have a lazy day with time to kill.

Came here after a trip to the museum for a late lunch. We ordered savory crepes and 2 boules de cidre. (Cider was very good) We chose the Verte and Forestière crepes. The buckwheat crepe was crisp. The Forestiere was a 5. Verte was a 3. We also saw signage near the baked goods indicating that they were voted the best croissant in SF so I tried one with my Americano after lunch. Husband tried the hazelnut Paris Brest. I can imagine how the croissant would be good when warm (croustilliante). The inside was beautifully airy and light and leaning towards savory/salty which I thought made it more tasty. The Paris Brest was a 5. Freely chosen seating creates a little stress for the patron. (Nearly all tables were full when we arrived) Also the Americano (single and double shot) both were too watery arriving in cafe au lait like cups.

The most beautiful & bright French bakery cafe in the Castro 🥐☕️🇫🇷 I’ve been coming here for years for the occasional croissant (they have award winning ones) and finally sat down for a proper breakfast today. Delicious food with very large portions and friendly service.

Highly recommend if you’re in the neighborhood.

So glad to have found this spot! Lovely large windows with the sun coming in. The croissants are supper flaky and delicious. We got brunch for 2 and yes, it’s a lot of food!

There are 2 bike racks to stash your bike at and I had complete peace of mind while dining! I think I’ll be back again
