I would not say there is something special about the place, but food.

It's hard to believe that is possible to so uniquely combine American and Asian food in a perfect mix of breakfast dishes.

Everything is delicious, but my king is the Monte Cristo Sando that is delicious, warm, sweat and sour.

Amazing quiet local neighbourhood diner that impressed us very much!
It wasn’t too busy and all 3 of us enjoyed our dishes thoroughly- my French toast w/eggs were delicious! My friends tried the tong yum burrito and loved it!
Out of the 3 diner breakfasts we had nearby, this was our favourite.

I've been coming here for over 10 years. Went again yesterday and the food quality has dropped considerably. I got the Norwegian Benedict and my friend got the dill crab cake Benedict. Both were fine, but quite average in taste and the food was bland and cold. I think this place became very popular and the food quality dropped as a result.

Also, we ordered coffees, which arrived after our food and only after we asked for them again. So the service isn't that great. Overall, not bad but quite average.
FILTHY torn fabric chairs; Dirty walls; See photos. And why in August do they have Christmas decorations like a reindeer?! Overpriced. Small portions. They automatically charge an 18% Service Charge.

I’ve been here a couple times recently. We sat outside and they have heaters on. Their food was great but is definitely pricey. For three of us we spent $120 for breakfast. I especially like their pancake and Benedict.

Classic Mission experience. The Hashbrown sandwich and the plátanos are pure heaven. I make it a point to eat here when I'm in town.

The name made me think this place was some sort of white power hub, but I was invited to go by locals and learned that jt was named way before all the chaos and a mission staple. The food was awesome and not at a bad price point for San Francisco. Happy to see all folks welcomed in and to be one of the few white folks in there.

Good brunch at Toast Eatery.
The ambiance and atmosphere are really cute.
Food was overall really good, loved the pancakes and benedicts. They were tasty but a bit expensive for the quantity.
One thing we didn’t talk is we had to request water twice to get it.

Carlos was as amazing as the food and the environment! If you're looking for a simple but complete meal then really look no further. There is a bittersweet fusion to the food here which transcended my taste bud's familiarity. Come by asap!!

A solid Mission district favorite! Red Cafe is always a reliable choice. Good food, generous portions, and great service. Cozy, friendly vibe. I couldn’t finish my giant Breakfast Quesadilla. My partner got the club sandwich and we just ate our leftovers for dinner tonight. That’s 4 meals for $50!

Oh my God. no they did not water down their A-1 sauce and cause my steak and eggs to muddy up my plate! It’s okay the Hash brown soaked some of the A-1 sauce/H20 mixture! But I returned the plate in fear of being food poisoned! Way to go to save $$ Managers !! You lost a client. Where is the big wig manager common sense in that powerful decision making power? Secondly where did you get such unappealing steak disc? The steaks lack luster! I can chuck skip those babies like flat rocks on a lake! Shorty unwelcoming Service most likely represents and reflects the top! No greeting and we’ll one has to flag a poor tired server down! 1 star.

Everything tasted good except the hollandaise sauce. It was terrible. Just regular breakfast fare, nothing special. Other than the terrible hollandaise, my only complaint is that everything was ice cold.

Nice place to have Turkish breakfast in SF 👍🏻
We visited SF for couple days and it was great to have a Turkish breakfast in downtown. We went there party of 8 and tried couple of breakfast options. They tasted great. Turkish breakfast for 2 was enough for 4 person with the side dishes we ordered. The only thing we needed was a nice bread, they only had pita option sadly. Service was nice and the vibe was great, we seated outside and it was great. I recommend checking this place out.

This a hidden Dimond. The service was great. Sat us down fast. Coffee good and hot. I recommend the pancakes tacos. But don't do what I did order two orders (three tacos). They are just the right size. They were yummy. I took my leftover because I got full.

Very crowded on the weekend. Expect to wait 30-45 minutes before getting seated. Everything on the menu was good except for the tom yum burrito, too much rice. Tea and coffee options were pretty good as well.
One of the best restaurants in my trip.
Bacon is so delicious, crispy and juicy texture with 4 different favor.
Burger is so huge but not greasy.
Love it.

If we hadn’t saved this for the last day of our trip, we would have gone every morning. It’s been about three months and I still daydream about that soufflé! The texture, the flavor, it was something I had never had before.

The French toast was also incredible. Will absolutely return and recommend to my traveling friends.

We were looking for a Morning Breakfast spot, and we found Sweet Maple. It did not disappoint! The service was great and very attentive. I never had to ask for a water or coffee refill. The servers were helpful with menu questions. The Millionaires Bacon is worth the $. With my south of the border scramble, it was the best chorizo I've ever had in a scramble, not super oily. Out of all the breakfast places we were looking at, we are glad we went with Sweet Maple. I almost forgot to mention the potatoes on their breakfast plates are so good! They are like crispy seasoned fries in a breakfast potato.

Good Turkish food, excellent service and vibe of the restaurant.

Had birthday dinner with my family outdoors on a nice day. We had a few appetizers (manti, meatballs, stuffed zucchini) and I ate the braised short rib and tried some stuffed eggplant as well. The staff also lit a candle on a cake for my birthday celebration which was really nice.

Food was on par, price wise, with San Francisco standards, especially in the Richmond area. Felt good eating the food, which was served with a lot of vegetables.

Will need to try it for breakfast next time I’m in the area.

The food looked good, but ultimately it was bland. I ordered the French toast and it was okay, nothing special. The eggs were very bland. I really do not understand the high rating and long lines for a place that had a below average French toast and very bland eggs. The service was fine and the atmosphere is probably better inside than outside, but I was very disappointed. Maybe I ordered the wrong food, but even the bacon was bland. I didn't finish my food as it was just an overall below average experience.

10/10 spot for a delightful meal! The service is quick even when it’s busy (came here for breakfast twice & take out for dinner)- and the presentation makes you happy to eat :)

The brunch here is incredible and has yummy little Thai twists in flavor, and the Thai food for dinner is pretty solid!

(Also the little bear in the drink is the Iced Carmel Macchiato)

I enjoyed this place. We got the El Sancho and OG Burrito; the El Sancho (chorizo) was delicious, much better than the OG. Lots of flavor and cheese. Large, but not so big that you’re completely weighed down. I also got a yummy cinnamon latte which was a treat. We sat outside in the shade. The cashier was very nice; she came out to wipe down our table and brought us our food. Not expensive. Easy counter service with quick delivery. Not a great atmosphere inside for sitting because they have music playing kind of loud, but the outside option was great.

Fun brunch spot we ate at while on vacation in San Francisco. We arrived shortly after opening and got a table right away. I had the Athenian omelet with olives, asparagus, feta and it was good. The potatoes were great and I don't usually like them as a side, but these had a great crisp and tasted like Jack in the Box curly fries. We had a couple of mimosas and they were a good size and made well. Next time I'd try the bottomless mimosas ($40 with a 1-hour time limit).

Great breakfast and lunch spot. Indoor and outdoor seating. So many good things on the menu, I tried 2 meals and took the leftovers home.
- The Monte Cristo is delicious and properly fried.
- I also tried the zucchini Parmesan pancake. This was amazing and I wish I had asked for extra butter.

First time here for breakfast and it was GREAT! Fast, prompt, and polite service! Good was great too! I ordered the Chile verde chilaquiles. Not spicy but very full of flavor. It came with cilantro and Mexican cheese mixed with diced onion.plate came with crispy potatoes and a side of meat in a small bowl. We also ordered a “small” side of eggs with cheese for my son.
10/10 recommend!!

Came on Friday afternoon in July. No waiting. Excellent service. Our waiter provided a sample size of Turkish coffee for my wife to try. Food was also excellent. About 8-10 tables inside with a handful outside. Walked to this restaurant from Golden Gate Park, so parking wasn’t a consideration.

I'm getting to a point were there are more pictures of food on my phone than friends and family. When I get older, am I going to have a photo album full of food instead of my loved ones? Will that be what my potential grandchildren look back on? I guess that could be helpful. If I end up passing away from diet related issues, they'll know exactly what foods to stay away from. I hope they don't think acai bowls are bad for them. That's what I ended up getting here. I usually don't order healthy, but all my previous unhealthy ordering decisions were weighing on me. Anyway, I really enjoyed my acai bowl.

I’ve ordered a few times on Uber Eats and it’s definitely the best breakfast burrito I’ve had in SF. Everything is so well prepared - it’s art. I just ordered with my friend so he could try tried. He took his first bite of the El Sancho burrito and his first reaction was to say “Oh my. You’re right.”

The Hustle Yogurt is also delicious!

Toast eatery
We went out for breakfast today on a Sunday from our hotel. Toast eatery was very nice, friendly service, big portions, very tasty… one ( from our view … maybe you will be ok with…) „negative“ point was the long waiting time after order. Coffee and orange juice came very fast… so that coffee was nearly drunken when breakfast arrived. Maybe little expensive ( Orange juice 10 Dollar…) but as I said big portions! I couldn’t eat all, because for me to much 😀
Go to this breakfast and enjoy!

This is an awesome little spot with delicious, very authentic Turkish fare. Everything we tried was great! They have lots of appetizers to choose from, and in terms of the mains you have to at least try the Manti (dumplings in savory yogurt). Service was great too.

Indoor seating area is small but charming. There are two heated sidewalk patios available as well.

Nice atmosphere, food was good! But honestly overpriced for breakfast $70 plus for 2 people. For basic egg and bacon plate and coffees. Not even mimosa’s! It was me and my husband and one other couple that came in and had breakfast, so not busy at all! But honestly I can see why they don’t get a morning crowd- we would never go back for that price. Not getting return customers and prices too high will not bring in the patrons. Lower prices a bit to be reasonable and your business will go up just an opinion of a traveler. I wish them well! I’d go elsewhere for just as good my honest opinion.

One of the best Turkish restaurants in the US! Food is extremely fresh, and their bal kaymak (cream with honey) is real, buffalo cream from Turkey. Their simits are fresh and their Turkish breakfast is as good as it gets.

Service is top notch and all servers are very attentive and professional. It felt like I was in Istanbul!

Sadly, the city of San Francisco is dying. If this restaurant becomes yet another victim to go under, it will be a huge loss. Hope the owner stays strong and makes it through, as I certainly want to come back for more!

Coffee tastes great and not bitter. When ordering the omlette with hash browns they do serve two full slices of bread for the toast. Most places have one slice of toast. Waitress offered to refill my coffee three times. Right across the street from the Italian pastry. Parking is free in the morning up to 9am. You can find easy parking before 8am.

Wasn't really sure what to expect but this place was great. We were lucky in that we were able to get a table without reservations, but I would recommend you get reservations for dinner especially.
The wait staff was attentive and friendly. We had to sit outside which was fun, so I cannot comment on the inside of the restaurant.
The food was excellent. It was full of flavor and tasting very fresh. The vegetarian options are somewhat limited but the ratatouille cous cous dish that we got was very good and I would order it again. My other family members who ordered the rib and the chicken dishes also found their selections to be very tasty.
The bill is settled at the table side with a portable card reader which you tip and sign directly onto the machine.
Next time we visit we would like to try the Turkish breakfast which is supposed to be very good as well.

WOW! One of the best scrambles I've ever had was the Frisco scramble with chicken sausage, mushroom, avocado, and Gouda, served with the biggest, fluffiest piece of bread. My partner had the fried rice, which was playful in presentation and absolutely delicious. The millionaire's bacon was overpriced ($13 for two pieces of bacon) but dang was it good! We waited only five minutes on a busy weekend morning. Next time I'm in town, I'll be back!

Big lines on the weekends but if your willing to wait or go on an off day this place has fantastic food! the Espresso Martinis are amazing as well as the Bloody Mary's they're baked items are better choice but the scrambles are good too just not their main event when it comes to their specialty in pancakes and french toast.

When I first came here for brunch I found it very middle of the road, but I was more impressed with dinner. Would be fun to go with a big group and try a bunch of dishes. For now I can recommend the watermelon salad, the Moussaka, and the veggie burger, which is made out of beets, mushrooms, and lentils.

We went there for dinner on a week night and it was not particularly busy. Food was good but the appetizer plate of cold appetizers and some of the warm appetizers seemed more appealing than the main courses. There were a couple of good wines that were reasonably priced and the service was incredibly welcoming, although the waiter seemed at times a bit overwhelmed. Overall, we loved the atmosphere and thought that it was definitely one of the better relatively inexpensive neighborhood restaurants we've been to.

Finally! Something different and new!
The village is such a vibe!! A little escape from the city. ❤️ I love this place! The food from Karibu East Africa was so exotic and delicious at the same time. Granted, this is my first time having East African Food and it did not disappoint, it was such an FUN experiment!

OMG! The Mishkakis (beef skewers) were my favorite! So tender and juicy, while the samosa was so crispy + tasty- perfect with the ginger sauce. The Chips Masala was so addicting, imagine french fries + ketchup with a hint of masala. The Kuku choma (grilled chicken) and the Samaki Choma (fried tilapia) are a must! Tasty and tender!

The owners were super friendly, funny, and welcoming, the food was so tasty!! The chef came out and gave us a little history lesson on how + why African food was influenced by India and the British. 🙌🏼 So cool!

The Village offers American-Mexican breakfast/brunch daily, and East African dinners on Friday + Saturday. 🤤 Must try!!

Don’t let the descriptors on yelp throw you off. Lapisara has the best brunch close to the mark Hopkins. We waited less than 10 mins for a group of 4. When we sat down we found out two more were joining and they moved us to a larger table without complaining. I had the eggs Benedict and my girlfriend had the French toast. Can’t remember what everyone else had, but there were no complaints. Highly recommend the next time you are in town. Food and staff are top notch

My daughter and I decided to drop in for a quick dinner. I ordered the chicken waffle. To be honest, this was almost too pretty to eat. But I did give in. The waffles were light and fluffy with a crisp crust, the bourbon syrup and honey really added to the dish. The boneless chicken was crunchy with just a little heat. The fresh fruit really helped make the meal.

My daughter, a picky eater, said the fries were delicious. They were perfectly made, crunchy, and full of flavor. The sandwich was well made, could have some more flavor but still delicious.

Could not have asked for better service, the team was very helpful.

The ambiance was mellow with suttle music playing in the background.

The menu was very eclectic and we are looking forward to going back and trying a number of the dishes.

Give it a try.

A solid breakfast burrito, well crafted with delicious ingredients! There don’t flood you with too many options to make it difficult to choose, instead you’re given a limited selection, of all, very delicious sounding items. Definitely get them as they are, and only modification needed is to add avo in my opinion.

This was my first time going, I got El Sancho burrito, with the salsa verde and roja on the side. I recommend eating it right away so the tots stay crisp, and the eggs warm. I found it to be overall very delicious, and somehow not greasy. They also don’t overstuff the burrito just to make it big, which is perfect because this way you get a little bit of everything with each bite.

The burrito came out fast, service seemed fine, and could hear a lot of conversations with regulars. Definitely can’t wait to come back to try the other options and the coffee, since they serve grand coffee ☕️. They got a few tables outside, which is perfect if you cruised in with your bike, but decent amount of seats inside too. Definitely check this spot out for legit breakfast burritos 🌯

The place is cute and the staff is nice, but that is the most bland breakfast we've ever eaten. I got The Royal and my partner got French toast, and we both wondered where the seasoning and flavor was. To be honest the fruit was the most flavorful part of the meal. If that's your jam, by all means check this place out.

A great spot for all day breakfast and easy to find a table on a Saturday lunchtime. I had eggs benedict, coffee and a chocolate milkshake and all were delicious. The kind lady serving us seemed to be the only front of house staff so that's my only slight criticism - they could do with one person more to ensure folks are served a bit more quickly when it's full.

Some of my favorite dishes in the neighborhood! The apps are delicous, especially potatoe cakes, minty mushrooms, and lentile chilli. For entrees the Sultan's Kabab is amazing and Im told the lamb shank is spectacular. The interior is very cozy with super cool wood work, just missing some music. Also has a parklet and cafe table for outdoor dinner or for bringing the pooch.

One of the best breakfast burritos I’ve ever had. Love the Tia Maria with two green sauces on the side. I prefer to eat the breakfast burritos here immediately after they made at the restaurant. One of the best parts of this burrito IMO are the crispy tater tots inside and they tend to get soggy if I wait to eat the burrito at home.

They can also veganize these burritos if you need (no eggs, butter or cheese).

This is a hidden gem. Had their signature dish, Ricotta stuffed French Toast with a side order of real corned beef hash. This is definitely one of the best brunch places I have eaten in the whole West Coast. Casual dining and meet two new friends while dining. Service is excellent. Park in the nearby neighborhood. Very highly recommended!

The French toast with fried chicken was pretty good but would have been better with either powdered sugar or whipped cream on the side. Lemon pancakes were very good. We also enjoyed their mimosas. Overall, very pleased.

Visited this place a couple weeks ago. There was a big line but moved quick.

Ordered the Crab cake Benedict and the Challah Bread French toast.

The Crab cake had a nice texture and the lemon dill sauce gave it a nice zest. Really liked the combination.

But the star of the show was the Challah Bread French Toast. Can't go wrong with the combo of macadamia and mascarpone and bacon. Just a exciting and fun combination of flavours and textures. I felt it was more desserty but definitely worth coming back for.

I probably feel the portions for both could be bigger, but in terms of flavour it was pretty good and something different from your regular breakfast.

Checked out a new spot last night, and it ended up being an incredible meal! We started off with the trio platter, and everything was a hit! For our main courses, we split the couscous ratatouille, and the chicken and the pasta and the short ribs. Everything was delicious. Plus great service! Highly recommend for a fun night out.

Cool spot for brunch. Services is fast, food is good and portions pretty sizeable. Never had a cocktail here but I saw a sign on the table, and they offer bottomless mimosas. I THINK it’s $25 and only good for one hour and 15 min.

I had the roasted chicken omelet and as healthy and boring as it sounds, it tasted super good. The tomatillo sauce was everything. We ate about noon time, and I didn’t eat again until dinner around 7pm. Portions are pretty fabulous here. The hubby got a basic breakfast, but it tasted better than just basic.

Would come back again and host a girl’s brunch.

Saw this place in a reel, and also a couple friends verified it's GOOD. And yes indeed can confirm. You can call ahead to order. There's some seating inside. Street parking might be tight.

Food is great. You can ask for some hot sauce if you want too. The burritos are small and skinny though, but they aren't that expensive (lol ten bucks). The toasts ae literally just a toast with stuff so I wouldn't recommend it over burritos. The tots are pretty good. The OG burrito is the one to get, but also fun to try all the other flavors too.

The agua fresca was a delicious mango juice!

Thanks!

This place was a let down, I came in expecting just a regular diner but I was let down by the food. For starters the chilaquiles were made with stale chips and not nearly enough egg. My corned beef hash was also a let down and it felt like it came from a can, plus it was under cooked. Over all my experience did not meet my expectations. The food was lacking in both taste and quality, and I couldn't help but feel that the ingredients used were the lowest quality.

Great little diner spot for brunch in the mission! They've expanded their seating capacity a lot with the outdoor patio booths. No reservations so you have to sign up for a table on the clipboard when you arrive. We came for brunch around 11:30am on a Sunday and got seated within 10 min.

Lots of tasty options on the menu, including multiple combinations of breakfast meals. I got the French toast with bacon and eggs, and my friend tried their eggs Benedict with a side of chorizo hash. Our food came out fast and the portions were big!

A quaint, little breakfast spot on Polk Street. The walls are decorated with pictures from the early and mid 1900s and classical music on their radio. The breakfast fare is pretty standard here except for their Pancake Tacos which were excellent. There are 4-5 different ones and you can choose 3 to try out together. The staff were also incredibly friendly. Super glad that I gave this place a try.

Seeking a local spot for breakfast, we decided to stop here instead of Mel's across the street as we thought this looked more interesting and the reviews suggested it would be excellent. Next time we'll just go to Mel's...

We were seated within a few minutes and the server took our order almost immediately. We were able to sit for a few minutes and were able to take in the ambience of the Home Plate.

The first thing I noticed sitting on the long cushioned bench seat was that the cushions were absolutely filthy and stained. There was hair all over them and they were honestly disgusting. I've seen cleaner seats on public transit.

Looking around at the rest of the restaurant, the overall decor was okay, but it was apparent that it was rarely, if ever cleaned. The chandelier had a light out and was draped in dusty cobwebs. and the dining area in general was just relatively unclean.

The condiments and seasoning at our table looked downright vintage in how old and nasty they were. The salt and pepper looked like they'd probably never been replaced.

After a suspiciouly short wait, my partners food arrived. My partner's food came out first and about 5 minutes later my food was then served.

The first thing we noticed was that there was long hair in my partner's eggs bennedict. At this point we were both ready to just pick up and leave, but unfortunately we had an upcoming appointment and did not have enough time to get a meal somewhere else, so we decided to stick it out.

What ensued was an incredibly average and underwhelming breakfast. The breakfast potatoes were cold, soggy, and clearly just scooped out of some bin in the back and onto the plate. The french toast was tasteless and uninspired. The homemade chicken sausage patty was ordinary and nothing to brag about.

Overall this was a very disappointing breakfast and left us both regretting our choice. This meal was nowhere near worth the price.

The only redeeming quality of this place was that the service staff were all friendly and attentive, and conscious of us and the other diners!

Good place to stop by for a cheap meal. Decent food but nothing amazing, the meal being $30 for 2 added the extra star. I had the huevos rancheros and she had some pancakes with fruit.

Side note, I came here on a second visit with friends and appreciated the outdoor seating. They still needed some extra seasoning for the good and perhaps a bit more chorizo, but it was overall solid. Nice to visit on a warm day.

First of all, the food was spectacular! Plenty and delicious! Coffee was tasty and strong! Blueberry muffin was the best! 5 stars for the food!!
What lacked and needed attention at that time, when it wasn't busy or bustling at all, was the service. They didn't come by to refill my waters and coffee periodically. Basically just sat there trying to wave someone over. Again, it wasn't busy. I've been to eateries when they were really busy, I get it. I understand. This visit wasn't it. I'm sorry. I've been here many times before. Don't remember this happening to me before. Guess it was just a bad luck day for me. Food was very palatable! I hope it doesn't occur next time...

Longer wait to get a seat. They were super busy and working hard to get it done. Food was awesome worth the wait. Had French toast pancakes and the breakfast sandwich. Get the orange juice you will not be disappointed.

The service is excellent. The lamb is tender and tasty. Highly recommend! But! Lentil soup has no taste, there is something to compare. Chicken soup is very sour. The plates were full and not eaten. In general, the price - quality does not quite match. And we paid about $100 for everything.

This place was Amazing!! Food was good and the wait to get the food wasn't long. We got there early (8:30) so there was no wait to be seated. We will are returning to have breakfast here the next 4 days(we are from Seattle). I has the garden omelet and my husband has the New York steak.

Everything we had was delicious. Love the beet/mushroom avacado benedict! The homemade hollandaise sauce was lighter than the traditional one and the home style potatoes were crispy and seasoned just right. The crispy chicken sandwich, Cairo egg scramble and crepe like pancakes were also very tasty!

Really well done. Super simple breakfast spot with a diverse Latin menu. Service was prompt, food was delicious and portions massive. 11/10 would stop in again before watching carnival on a Sunday morning.

Casual, savory and variety. This place was great for "diner" style brunch. They have a great menu with a variety of vegetarian options. The Eggs Benedict were nicely poached with a creamy and slightly spicy hollandaise, plus the fruit was quite fresh! Unfortunately the coffee could have been better, otherwise it would have been perfect.

Loved the food there, absolutely delicious and the portions were quite decent, we were stuffed by the end of the brunch! Staff were friendly though there was a queue for it, so definitely don't aim to go during popular times.

Good spot for tasty, filling breakfasts. I LOVED the oatmeal pancakes and liked the corned beef hash (though it's not quite as exciting as it looks). The eggs, sausage, and toast were nice but standard. Portions were very large - prepare for leftovers unless you're very hungry.

Service was efficient and friendly, and the atmosphere was nice - lots of locals coming in and chatting, giving it a real neighborhood feel. Décor was simple but nice, and interior was breezy and pleasant.

Good spot for breakfast in the mission.
