One of the best stations on the light rail

This station is really difficult to get to from the west, from the hotel side. You've got to walk the entire length of the garage after going into the hotel and taking an elevator. Completely impractical. But I appreciate that it exists.

While I have friends in the transport game, and know some of the people who work this line, I can't give a higher score. The L1 Dulwich Hill Line is let down by aging and inadequate rolling stock, poor organisation of timetables and a gross misunderstanding by management of the requirements of this line and it's importance to Sydney as this line services both tourists and local residents. Two incidents spring to mind; a little over a month ago, a young woman collapsed from heat exhaustion thanks to the overcrowded train. On a busy Saturday, the management had deemed to put the minimum amount of trains on, leading to overcrowding on all trains. The woman affected was given prompt and proper care but the resulting delay further exacerbated the macro issue affecting this line. The second incident happened just yesterday. A train stopped at Chinatown, only to change to a "not in service" at 7:30pm and the next train suddenly scheduled at over 12 minutes later, all this during a bustling week night during the Christmas shopping season. I was able to walk from the Haymarket stop to Convention, beating the next train handily with 4 minutes to spare, and I'm no speed-walker. This highlighted the redundancy of the current offerings by management for commuters. Stop short-changing everyone who pays for this service, through taxes or otherwise.

When travelling to the Novotel on foot there's a shortcut through the car park. You can only see the sign when you're near to the car park entrance m

Good location to the hotels and Darling Harbour area. This used to be right behind Harbourside which has been demolished for new development. The side closest to Darling Harbour goes towards Central Station, the other side goes towards Dulwich Hill.

Mind the gap might be an understatement. Don’t be fooled by the wheelchair boarding zone or signs. Not sure why there’s a weight limit posted on the side of the tram as Id I’m dragging my own ramp on the back of my wheelchair. No assistance was provided by the LR driver or any staff member with a ramp to make wheelchair boarding on and off safely. Surprises me also a new modern tram doesn’t have any sort of automated ramp system. Some Sydney Buses have automatic ramps that are far older than these tram models. Won’t be using the L1 line ever again. Don’t feel safe with or without a friend helping me without making a total fool out of myself falling out of my chair by getting my wheels caught in the gap.

Next to car park and opposite of harbourside shopping centre. Could get overpopulated between 5pm to 7pm
