Since the new management company took over, led by Community Manager Eddie and Leasing Agent Asease, I've noticed a significant positive change in the building. The upgrades and improvements being made are truly enhancing our living experience. From maintenance to our the common space to community events, everything seems to be more organized and responsive. I appreciate the effort and dedication of the new team in making our community a better place to live. Keep up the great work!

As soon as I stepped into the lobby, I was warmly greeted by Asease, the leasing agent. Her professionalism combined with a genuinely inviting demeanor immediately put me at ease. I'm currently searching for a one-bedroom apartment and planning to move in May. The amenity space offered here is fantastic, and I was thrilled to hear from Asease that Community Manager Eddie is dedicated to creating a real sense of community through resident events. Coming from Chelsea, I'm looking forward to making this place my new home.

Having lived at The Chesapeake for the past four years, I can confidently say that the transition from the old management company to Greystar has been a breath of fresh air. Eddie, the Community Manager, is not only personable but also incredibly relatable. It's refreshing to see him actually in the office when needed, ready to assist residents.

Attending the welcome breakfast hosted by Eddie and Asease was a delightful experience. It was a great opportunity to meet other residents and foster a sense of community. The recent pizza event was another fantastic initiative, allowing me to connect with neighbors I had never met before.

I'm eagerly looking forward to more resident events and am already considering renewing my lease. With Eddie and the Greystar team at the helm, I'm confident that The Chesapeake will continue to be an excellent place to call home.

We've been living here since last January, and while the staff has been friendly, our recent experience with maintenance has been disappointing. Repairs were generally addressed quickly, although occasional reminders were necessary.

We submitted a repair request for our broken microwave on December 17th, almost a month by now. Despite the repair requests and many conversations with the concierge, the issue persists. It was difficult to reach the supervisor, and we were told that appliance repairs are outsourced to another company that is not dependable. It was slow for the management to communicate with this contractor, and the fact that no one seems to know who should fix the microwave and when can it be fixed were extremely frustrating.

While we understand the challenges during the holiday season, it took weeks for them to even start working on this problem. No temporary solution was provided, and the inconvenience of living without a microwave in a supposed "luxury" apartment is disheartening. One staff also mentioned another tenant's 2-month wait for repairing a different appliance.

The lack of effective and timely resolution to maintenance issues were disappointing. The management needs to work on their communication and ensure swifter action in addressing tenant’s needs. We have to buy a tabletop microwave to get by.

1/31/24 Update: It has been 45 days since our microwave stopped working, we are still at an impasse despite our best efforts. We were told there's an unresolved bill for this building owed to the contractor responsible for appliance repairs. Until this bill is settled, the contractor is not addressing issues with our microwave or any appliances in this building. Who would've thought even a month and a half is not enough to fix a microwave?

Great building with the most friendly staff my wife and I have ever had at a building in NYC!

Whenever there was an issue (which was infrequently) they fixed things quickly.

A great place to live!

In over 13 years in Manhattan, this building was my all-time favorite! The staff was very helpful and responsive (the super, David, Daniel Seron, the front desk attendants, etc.) I always felt as though I was part of a true community that was safe, clean and welcoming. The building had extremely friendly and courteous tenants (there was even a mom group that met in the lounge which helped as I transitioned to motherhood). I was always happy to go home and be home - the apartment itself topped any other apartment I had lived in -- it was very spacious, with bright beautiful views, very quiet, and was packed with top amenities. I rarely if ever had an issue, but if I called for maintenance, the guys were there in an instant to help! My family moved out of state for work, or we would definitely still be there. It truly was a rock star building and apartment -- I was always so proud to have people over because I knew I lived in a beautiful home. We were in the A-line and the units were all renovated and super gorgeous with loads of space and washer/dryer in the unit! I would recommend this company and building to anyone - top notch experience for us. I highly and unequivocally recommend!
