We dropped in for Sunday brunch just after crossing the border. The food and service were excellent.
Warm hospitality from everyone and Fritz was very entertaining. Truly an enjoyable experience.

Lovely period inn!

My husband and I were in town for just one evening and we couldn't have been more pleased with our stay at the Derby Line Village Inn. This period inn with its antique furnishings and fixtures was just what we were looking for. (We are also in the hospitality business and welcome guests to our 343 year old antique home, so we appreciate the value of their preservation work!) We stayed in Room 2, with a spacious bathroom and tub/shower, king bed and lovely views overlooking the garden. The bedding was pristine, the bed was exquisite, the room was immaculate and the space was large and comfortable. It was very warm out, but the air conditioning worked great. There is also an electric fireplace for ambiance in the cooler months, and we may go back in the fall to enjoy the beautiful country scenery. The owner, Paula, was just delightful and we loved chatting with her and getting information about the local area. She and her husband, Chef-owner Fritz, take beautiful care of the well-manicured grounds--the flowers were everywhere! The full breakfast was one of the best I've had at an American Bed and Breakfast establishment. Fritz makes homemade Austrian style pastries (apple strudel and cinnamon rolls), also, housemade sausages, eggs, grilled tomato, fresh fruit skewers, juice and delicious coffee. There are no televisions in the rooms, which is fine by me, but the wifi is great so if you need entertainment, just bring a tablet. This was a very reasonably priced inn and I highly recommend it to others.

A wonderful German style restaurant. The menu changes weekly, but they have a variety of schnitzels, spatzel, red cabbage, sauerbraten and much more. In addition they have a number of excellent beers on tap.

Just incredible. Right on the border of Canada in Northern Vermont, so depending where you are, might be a bit of a drive, but trust me - it’s so worth it.
The chef/owner is an amazing fellow, and the food is out of this world. I highly recommend the Hungarian Goulash as a starter, I could live off that stuff.
Interesting fact, my great aunt, lived here with her husband, they bought it back in the 60’s, he was a veterinarian as well as a boxer and trained other boxers. She did a lot of the interior decorating/wallpaper etc. She sold it years ago, and now it is this wonderful restaurant. I was able to meet her there this summer, and get a tour from her, pretty special experience.
Anyways, highly recommend checking this out!

Sunday brunch was everything! I've been reading the menus for a long time on Facebook and when we finally had the chance to visit Vermont it was number 1 on our list! The hostess was so friendly and welcoming and the food was amazing. Brought back memories of my dad's birthdays there over the years. Back for sure next year!

Paula and Fritz are very friendly. Fritz is a phenomenal chef. Their staff is is very friendly. The Inn is lovely. They have done a wonderful job with the house.
