Very good open area for small events, then there is the trails which is the main attraction, very good for bikes and many other things. Though back then there have been sights of squatters and homeless people but I'm not sure how trustworthy those sources are.

Too many words, too many words, and I can hear em.

Nestled within the heart of the city, Forest Park stands as a unique haven with a touch of nostalgia. π³π² It's not about lavish amenities, but rather the sprawling expanse of untamed woods and trails that invite the adventurous spirit. πΆββοΈπ² Echoes of the past linger in the impressive BMX track, a tribute to youthful enthusiasm that once thrived here. π΄π¨ Paintball matches added an element of excitement, weaving stories of camaraderie. πͺπ¨
Now, Forest Park has even more to offer with the addition of two picnic tables, a pavilion, and a single grill, making it a perfect spot for gatherings and outdoor feasts. ππ The lush greenery and serene surroundings provide an ideal backdrop for picnics with friends and family. π§Ίπ
Yet, time has taken its toll. Forest Park, once a vibrant hub, has gradually fallen into disrepair. The trails, now unattended, still wind through the woods, but some paths are marred by fallen trees and overgrowth. Nature's reclaiming touch hints at the need for intervention to restore its former charm. πΏπ³ The hope remains that these obstacles will be cleared, unveiling trails that lead to nearby areas. πΆββοΈπ
Forest Park's allure lies in its unassuming nature, a canvas where dreams take shape. ππ³ It's a microcosm of untamed beauty in the urban landscape, untethered by rigid rules. It's a reminder of simpler times, now weathered but not forgotten. ππ³ It's an evolving narrative, an invitation to create memories as distinct as the park itself. ππ

An amazing park to bring your bmx on the trails, other than that the neighbors act as they own the public park and called the cops when I parked my car there getting ready to do some trails. The gate is mostly padlocked shut presumably by the neighbors nearby.

Such a unique park, I love it. There isnβt much there but a βbig enoughβ forest area and un-maintained trails. In the β90βs a lot of local kids worked to make a pretty impressive bmx bike track in the forest area. In the late 2000βs I occasionally played paintball there with friends and others we would meet there, it was always a lot of fun and we had any problems. Itβs a small forest in the city and it is what you make - which is the best part about it. There is nothing similar in the area that isnβt over regulated.

You have to enter a closed gate even though its open. Super creepy. Old sleeping bags beer cans blankets t shirts.

Love the trails that we just recently discovered, however I do hope that the city of Lincoln Park will make an effort to com out & clear a few trails that we couldn't make it down due to down trees. If they cleared those then there would be several more accessible trails throughout the woods, including some that connect to trails that lead across the highway (I believe under the highway) that lead to trails on the other side of the highway into Allen Park.
