I have had trigeminal neurologia for three years . Dr. Wilson was very kind, thorough and explained my condition ! Provided great guidance on how to manage my symptoms with the meds I am taking! He explained to me how to contact him immediately if my symptoms return. I was very impressed with him and highly recommend him.

Unfortunately I was never given the chance to meet with Dr. Scott Wilson. We talked on the phone once for about 15 minutes, and then for the following several months I completed a daily questionnaire. I called his office multiple times over those months to find out when my appointment would be with him, but there was always an excuse why he couldn’t meet with me. At this point he submitted a report to WCB stating that the causality of the accident had no connection to my symptoms, and in not so many words that it was all in my head. Every doctor that has been treating me disagreed with his finding. Even WCB disagreed with his report. Everyone helping treat me without any request by me provided me with unwavering support. They all knew the report was crap, and we’re all insulted that he could write such a report. Even the neurologist that saw me in emergency room at Foothills hospital the day of the accident could clearly see the connection which he spent quite a bit of time with me asking a lot of questions. Every other doctor and health care provider who has seen me since the accident all having different areas of expertise could clearly set the connection between the accident and on going symptoms. Even a neurologist who was hired by WCB to do an IME to see if they could offer additional treatment suggestions as my recovery had plateaued could clearly see a link between the event and my symptoms. This was a two hour long appointment, which this neurologist states clearly that there is a clear link from the accident to my continued symptoms, and recommended several great options for how to help me recover.

So let’s do the math here. Dr.Scott Wilson who spent about 15 minutes on the phone with me, or a neurologist who spent 2 hours in person with me. You do the math.
What am I able to discern out of this is that Dr. Wilson never intended to see me, and was more than willing to smear me with his sorry excuse for a report. Dr. Wilson was unprofessional, displayed zero compassion for what I am dealing with, and my ongoing symptoms

It is now over a year since the accident. My persistent symptoms have changed my life. I still cannot participate in any sports that I enjoy, as physical activity aggravates my condition. Even taking the dog for a walk can be challenging some days.

There can be only one of two reasons to explain Dr. Wilson’s conduct:
1. He never had an intention of ever seeing me.
2. To start he may have planned to see me early on, but decided I was not worth his time.

Both of these possibilities are unethical, and a disservice to all doctors and health professionals.

The staff here never answers the phone or returns messages, trying to speak live with someone or needing to schedule a follow up is a nightmare.

After reading the negative reviews, I was very nervous and apprehensive to go for my consultation with Dr Scott Wilson. However, I am so glad I did. From the moment I walked into the office, I was met with a friendly receptionist. Dr. Scott Wilson and his nurse, Joanne, are sympathetic, empathetic and compassionate. But more importantly than their bedside manners, is that they are knowledgeable, informative and professional.

I have suffered from migraine headaches for decades and dystonia from an early age, all intensified and exasperated by a recent car accident. I was resolved that I must live in pain for the rest of my life. After just one treatment, I felt immediate relief.

If I was to describe my experience with Dr Wilson in one word, it would be “miracle”. Pay no attention to the negative reviews, but do yourself a favour and book an appointment.

Thank you very much to you and your team.

On the one hand, Dr Wilson doesn't rush you like many other specialists, he will listen to your story and at least will send for some testing.

However, if he believes that you fall outside his strict area of responsibility, or the test results are inconclusive (by his own admission), he offers no paths forward or even any advice on when to redo the tests, etc. So.. an initially promising but ultimately disappointing experience.

I saw a series of doctors for a 2 year condition I had before I was referred to Dr Wilson. He was able to diagnose and treat my condition quickly after our initial contact. He took the time to listen to my symptoms and find out what was really gong on. He gave me my life back and I am so grateful. His follow up and availability in my experience is excellent. I would feel confident in recommending Dr Wilson to anyone who is in need of a Neurologist in Calgary.
