An incredibly rude lady let me know they haven’t had age cards ‘for ten years’ she must own the business, as no one would ever employ someone as poor at customer service. Honestly. Just retire already.

if i could give this place 5 stars i would, but let me tell you about the terrible experience i had this morning with the old lady that was working there. i was just walking around the store browsing when she just bumped into me with the trolley that she was pushing. believe it or not she rolls her eyes at me then literally tells me to walk around so i can get through. if she said it in a nice friendly way trust me i would have gone around the other aisle but she asked in the most disrespectful way possible like what happened to customer is always right?? like how hard is it to just move aside and let a customer go past but ofc the karen in you would choose violence and is ready to fight a paying customer. i really hope this feedback gets through the upper management or whoever is in charge of this place cause with that old lady being there you won’t be able to run a business. she either has to find another job (preferably not customer service) cause she will abuse ppl or just trained to behave better. also, right after this altercation i decided to walk out and didn’t even buy what i was going to purchase cause i felt so uncomfortable and disrespected being there.
to the old lady i think it’s time for you to retire, you would have had a real job if you were actually a good person, take this as your karma having to work a minimum wage job at the age of 60🤡🤡🤡embarrassing!!!

Purchased from the pop up stall and had amazing service from a girl named lulu! will definitely shop here again :)

Terrible shopping experience. I have been there so many times. It is the first time that the store staff can be so impolite. The owner of this store does not seem to care about the quality of the staff. This is not the first time that the staff has been complained about their work attitude👎👎👎

Terrible experience with this company. I bought a Christmas decoration from their Carindale pop-up store. The item is a little replica telephone box with a Santa inside. Glitter spins around in the water that's filled the telephone box. The fan that spins the water and glitter around is faulty and makes a clicking noise constantly. I tried to exchange it two weeks after I bought it (Christmas 2021) and they told me they don't have any stock left and to come back next season. I went to the Carindale store today (03/12/2022) and the woman that works there was insanely rude. She told me that exchanges that far out from purchase are against their policy. Then she changed her mind and said it was ok. Then she plugged the item in to test it works and when it turned on she laughed at me. I then tried to tell her it was the sound it was creating that was the problem, not whether it turns on or not. She couldn't hear the sound because we were in a noisy shopping centre. She started to become aggressive with me and told me no exchange would be possible. I left with no solution. Do not deal with this company.

Don’t go to this shop, they are rude and misleading, they set a kiosk near David Jones to sell Christmas gifts,which looked attractive. I saw a picnic mat with nice colour but it didn’t say the dimensions, so I asked the sales lady about the dimensions, and she told me it was 2.5*2 m which was what I was looking for! I paid for it and as I was leaving another costumer came to the sales lady asking to return her picnic mat as it was small. Then I opened mine to see that it was very small ( May be 1.2*1.7) if that!
I returned to the lady explaining to her that I was misled and I want a refund as I bought the item literally 5 minutes ago. The lady declined and only offered exchange or credit or to talk to the main store. I went to the actual store and I was advised the same thing!! And the Boss said it’s written on the receipt (no refund),so we suppose to know that no refund AFTER we buy!
And she said there is a note behind the cashier to explain that! The note was filled with small writing that you can’t read from a distance and was no note in the kiosk!!
I had to leave with a credit card, so now I have to go back to buy anything to spend this credit.
I was misled, sold item with different specifications to what I was told and no refund!!!
Ican’t believe that this happened in Australia!

This is a great little gift shop - there's usually some interesting items that make nice and slightly less run of the mill gifts. Some very pretty decorative items and pretty cups and saucers that have to stop myself from buying. I always try to take a quick look here when I'm in Garden City and have been visiting for years. I was surprised to see it had such a poor rating... I've never had a major problem with the service that I can recall, it's generally been fine. They have some pretty good sales on certain items too.
