RUN AWAY from this place. (Warning long review) Another review stated “ tried to blame me for her and her staff's incompetence and negligence” and I couldn’t put it any better myself. My son is a patient of Dr Holmes. Well, he had one phone visit with her. She prescribed medication. He responded well. That was last year sometime. Since then, we have spent all day holding the phone in hand waiting for a call for a phone visit that never happened TWICE. We were told they tried to call and we didn’t answer. Yeah right - we waited all day, no voicemail or missed call from her or her office. We had another appointment cancelled because she was on leave. Today, they cancelled his appointment because she “called out sick”. They offered me a reschedule two months from now. My son is out of psychiatric meds and will crash. A “crash” for him is generally violent. Dangerous for him, us, and his siblings. Dr Holmes refuses to refill the meds till he is seen. His nurse said she would send her a request when they called to cancel my appointment. That was five hours ago. I just called to check on it and was told they had not heard from her and the nurse or whoever I talked to was rude and dismissive about it. Do yourself a favor and find another doctor. Literally any other doctor. This place is terrible.

FOREWARNING: This is a lengthy review, but I wanted to share as much of the horrible experience I had so you would have enough “negative” to stay far, far away from this place!!! The ONLY reason I gave it a 1 star rating is because I couldn’t leave a review if I didn’t select a rating!!!
I had been referred to this office (mistakenly) by my PCP. I decided to go ahead and see the Nurse Practitioner since my referral was mid-October and Dr. Holmes was booked up until March!! I have seen Nurse Practitioners in the past many times at several different appointments elsewhere so I chose to be seen in 3 days vs 5 months. I should have followed my gut feeling (and nose) when I walked into the office/waiting room and was met with a musty smell and what used to be light colored, suitable for sitting furniture. Or, when I was told by the receptionist, that the nurse practitioner was running late because she had an “emergency” visit…which was literally being conducted IN THE HALLWAY right beside the very small waiting room (with only cheap partial privacy glass between us)!! It was loud enough for us to hear her yelling at what was visually and audibly (the voice) of a CHILD!!!! When I was called back to her office, she wasn’t even in there, the chair was uncomfortable and placed unusually far from her desk. When she came in, she appeared frustrated and almost angry, and it took a really fast downward slide immediately!!! She was very hard for me to understand (very heavy accent and didn’t speak loud enough for me to hear her since I was sitting so far back) and extremely rude!! She didn’t want to hear/know anything ABOUT me…no eye contact whatsoever and just focused on her computer or her notes the entire time. So, when she said “tell me what is going on”, I tried, but she cut me off about 5 words in to ask what medications I was taking. All she wanted to know was what medication I was taking and telling me how wrong the combination was and that it “overlapped” with my current prescription medication routine (meaning more than one medication for certain same diagnoses such as depression and anxiety). But she never listened when I tried to explain how “TREATMENT RESISTANT” my depression and anxiety are!!! Now, I must add, that prior to February of this year I had a phenomenal psychiatric Nurse Practitioner that I had seen for years!! He listened and worked diligently for a long time to get my medication combination and dosage as close to right as he could!! He changed my life significantly twice…my first visit with him gave me hope…My last visit brought “panic” back to it. He retired and I have been searching for another “good” one to take his place. I’m still searching!!! Now, THIS “NP” started barking about taking 2 medications for the same symptom/diagnosis and what all I needed to STOP taking!!! My body does not work that way!!! I have been taking most of my medications for YEARS and I could quickly become suicidal if I stopped taking them! I have an ACTUAL card that I take everywhere with me that has a QR code that can be scanned to show bloodwork results that PROVE my body only responds to some medications when given by a certain route (some with pills, some with shots, and some in liquid form). It also proves my body takes higher than normal doses of some medications to treat my symptoms since I don’t respond to normal doses effectively because my body only uses small amounts of those medications and the rest is “sent to exit my body”. But, again, she refused to listen to my information and also refused to scan my QR code. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! This “lady” was so downright rude that I almost got up and walked out…but I had already paid my copay for the visit which literally took about 8 minutes!!! I told my husband in the waiting room (loud enough for all to hear) that I would NEVER set foot in there again!!! Thank you if you read this very lengthy review!! I just can’t describe the level of fury I have with this place and the disservice that all of her other appointments are receiving. So sad!!!

Had to mark 1 star just to add a review but this practice does not deserve it. Waited 4 hours past appointment time just to see her for less than an hour visit. Was told to call in 10 days to let her know how medications were working that was over 2 months ago and still no call back. Several calls from us and insurance to get paper work filled out and still no response. Would not recommend this doctor to anyone. Now thanks to Dr Holmes we no longer have insurance.

My daughter is handicapped an can’t sit in her chair for long periods of time. At Dr. Holmes office your appointment may be for11:30 but you won’t get in to see her for 2 or3 hrs Later. Also the bathroom is to small for a handicapped person.
I like her but she needs to do better scheduling.

Dr Holmes does always run behind, however she is wonderful at her job! I would rather wait an hour or two and see a person who really wants to help, than have my children see who someone...who just writes scripts for whatever, barely visiting 2 minutes. (Been down that road). What is a few extra hours of waiting if it benefits my children in the end.

Very unprofessional. I always have to wait 2+ hours passed my appointment time to even be seen. Writing this as Im sitting in the waiting room 40 minutes and counting passed my appointment time with 2 people before me, undoubtedly way passed their scheduled time as well. Id recommend if you schedule with dr. holmes you have the rest of the day free and your phone is charged. Only good thing is that Dr. Holmes is a very friendly lady. Always changing my medicines when i don't feel like they need to be changed.

would NEVER recommend Dr. Holmes or her office to any one.My grandson see's her monthly. Her staff is VERY RUDE, they never relay messages to Dr. Holmes. It takes 2 or 3 days and several phone calls later in order to get them to call in refills. They will schedual your appointment at 1 time and then not even call you in to be seen for 2 hours after the time. This is pure negligence. She clearly takes on more patients than she can attend to, which in my opinion is very unprofessional. I would NEVER recommend her. And IF there is somewhere else near by that would take on my grandsons insurance we would change in a heartbeat but there isnt. So where stuck here.

I would NEVER recommend Dr. Holmes or her office to any of my family and friends. After waiting three months to be seen by her, she cancelled and rescheduled my first appointment, so I had to wait another three weeks. Then at the rescheduled appointment, I waited 2 1/2 hours past my scheduled appointment time just to be seen. Her receptionist, Angela, is extremely rude and does NOT give her messages and it took her 2 weeks to get back to me regarding having a prescription filled. I also needed a form completed by her that had a due date and she never completed it. In addition to this, when I had an emergency because of the medication she prescribed me, it was not treated as such by her receptionist when I called her office during business hours letting Angela know I was having an emergency she told me Dr. Holmes was too busy and hung up on me. I then called the after hours EMERGENCY LINE, which I don't know why they even have because Dr. Holmes herself did not get back to my on her emergency line, which she is in charge of. She did not treat me with the respect or dignity I deserved and tried to blame me for her and her staff's incompetence and negligence. She clearly takes on more patients than she can attend to, which in my opinion is very unprofessional. She also is more concerned about her reputation than her patients. I would NEVER recommend her and advise you to seek help elsewhere.
