Beautiful park surrounded by lots of plants, gorgeous architecture, and walkable paths. The play ground is fantastic for young kids and older kids with a splash area in the middle. There are not low entry points for the playground, but kids 2+ will love it! Plenty of shade and seating

Good urban green spot to bring your pets or kids for a break. Depending on time of day will impact the amount of others you run into. At 6 am it was pretty quiet and foot traffic really started to pick up around 7 am.

I stopped by this park this morning for my dog's walk since Millennium Park is not pet-friendly (I'm glad this exists!). It is central to all the high-rise apartments and condos, and the surrounding area has coffee shops and restaurants, which are also within walking distance. The park is small and has a designated gated dog park where your dogs can run off-leash with other dogs. The pet owners are responsible and monitor their dogs to make sure they are friendly to other dogs. While I only stayed here for less than twenty minutes due to the high wind and chill, I enjoyed my time with my dog! I highly recommend this city park for those with pets.
I learned about Lake Shore East Park through a friend of mine. Upon visiting it for myself, I was in awe at this little hidden gem! Such a lovely and welcoming place for every soul; the young, the old, the romantic, the nature lover, picture-takers (me!), and even for our furry little friends.

This park is surround by marvelously colored flowers, and at a time nearing, such as springtime, there is no better time to begin one's visit. This beautiful park has multiple little water fountains sitting around that can lull anyone to sleep. It has a wide space for children to run free, and still within sights of mommy and daddy. It has a little park for them to play as well.

For those of you who have a child in your furry little friends, there is a small park in the midst of Lake Shore Park that is specifically for dogs and its very well kept. The people that the furry ones take there :-) are as friendly ad they are and the dogs all seem to be well trained to socialize with their counterparts.

One can take a romantic walk there as well. There plenty of shaded and unshaded spots for individuals and small groups to chill. If you are into getting fully relaxed it is nice spot to spread and blanket and take a wondrous nap at Lake Shore East Park. And reading a simple book makes for home for my book lovers.

It is only 10 minutes walk from Maggie Daley Park if you are interested in getting the children to a less crowded place than Maggie Daley Park. Even if it is for a break from the noise of kids play, the kids can continue their play here until all is ready to return to Maggie Daley.

Because it is close to Mariano's and a few more restaurants, Lake Shore Park is the perfect place for lunching :-) if there is such a word for it. He he. Please visit whether you are a tourist or Chicago resident. You will not be disappointed!!!
