Such a peaceful and picturesque boardwalk. I truly enjoyed listening to the silence and admiring the shiny silvery spider threads on the wetland.

An easy walk on the boardwalk over the samphire and salt pan area. Not a lot of birds when I was there. The walking path is easy and an interesting trip through the sheoak/heoaks. Please make sure you lock the gate.

Very easy walk from one end to the other. Nice walk to add to your giant hunting itinerary.
Spotted a few interesting looking birds and a LOT of kangaroo just chilling.

Managed to squeeze in a spot of time in between heavy showers 🚿 and strong winds 🌬️. Wetlands here are definitely more pleasant than those back home in the tropics, where it can be muggy 🥵 humid and warm, with unpleasant smells radiating from at low tides 🌊. Over here, nothing smelt bad at all.

Plus you get the nicer wildlife too. Plentiful bird species 🐦 like parrots 🦜, storks, pelicans, swans 🦢, ducks🦆 instead of mosquitoes 🦟 and bugs 🪲. Could easily spend an hour here if not for dodging the downpour.

Great place to walk and birdwatch. It is fenced all round to protect the wildlife from foxes and is a dog-free zone for the same reason. There are a couple of board walks, but the bush walks are much better. There is a great cafe near the entry, but I was told they were being forced to close, so if you want to lunch there, it might be best to check that it's still operating. I spent two half days at this park and would definitely go back.

This is a superb place to get close to nature. Many birds of all kinds and we even met a momma kanga with her Joey. Good walking trains and boardwalks, also bird blinds where you can sit comfortably on the benches and spy on all sorts of wildlife. Adequate parking is also a plus.
