Was quaint and had local produce. Was a bit quiet but most likely because it was midday and peak summer.
Bought some very nice fresh cherries and figs for €5.
There were a few boards with historical information about the bombings of Barcelona between 1936-1939 which was interesting to learn about.

I came here just to check it out!, there are many local produces, like veggies, fruits, dried meat staff and seafood.

This is a great location to watch the world pass by, far enough from the beach to avoid the glut of tourists and with a great atmosphere of local Barcelonan life. Cheaper cervesa than being actually on the beach which is a big plus. Also if too late to visit the larger supermarkets the market has everything you need to buy.

Great place for locals for grocery. Fresh food. Fish, meat and vegetables. We bought 3 fuet sausages for only 4 euro, very long sausages. Not a small cone for 8 euro like in the boqueria. Non touristic but still it offers a few places where to eat, sitting in thee terrace or take away food. Ready to be eaten at home. The square is lovely, with benches and playground. Plus 2 Ping pong tables.

Good selection and reasonable prices. Cheese place at the entry by the supermarket is top dollar and very friendly.

Wanted to get bread crumbs to make fried aubergine but the store does not sell bread crumbs. Migas de pan. Now you know.
