It’s interesting and informative museum where I learned why Krakow was a important and rich city in medieval time and its development through centuries.
I'll try to keep it short, because there's a lot. The staff are polite and helpful. The museum is interesting, in a very good state, and has a great atmosphere. Both I and Fernando are history buffs, yet we both found something new for us and interesting about the history of Kraków. I highly recommend it.
Fabulous experience. The underground museum is a must. Lots of interesting facts, the foundations that are under the market square are amazing..... the excavation must have been a massive task! Very interactive and impressive museum 👍
This was an incredible tour of ancient Krakow, well put together and informative. We bought tickets and were allowed in immediately. Very reasonable ticket prices too.
Regretfully I must say, it's just a waste of time. Only shallow excavations (not fancy catacombs or caves), stones and stones and wooden planks. They have a lot of modern technology (projectors, touch screens) there, sure, but it won't tell you practically nothing. I enjoy loooong stays in museums, but here it feels like TOURIST TRAP, where "nothing" gets silver lining and is sold as old soul of Cracow.
You go down and you go back to 15th century literally, i am amazed how on earth under the beautiful historical square have another old historical discovery. Definitely worth to see every corner of this place and how Polish history were made of.
Fairly interesting underground museum. From the outside, not massively signposted, so you would never know that this is under your feet when you are walking in the marketplace. The museum uncovers the old side of the city and photographs shows this being uncovered.
