I ordered Banku and okra stew from Grubhub. The stew is really good and the frustrating part is I can’t enjoy it. The okra is not smooth. There’s hard pieces in it. It’s not smooth at all. That’s really annoying I have to pick them out my mouth or spit them out. It’s cost me 30 so I’m dealing with it but I won’t order Banku from here again. Tbh I’d rather make my own okra stew to avoid things like this. I really hate when they’re hard piece of okra. It’s like little stems of wood

The food was delicious. First time there, and I'm definitely planning to stop in the next time I find myself in that area. I used Uber eats to order ahead, so I didn't have to wait, and my interaction with staff was very brief. It was a smooth pickup.

One of the many African stores in the Bronx. We like this one because we're used to it. I know my wife likes going back to this store even though we now live in Suffolk County. Her reason is that there are some things you would only find here.
